And if some miracle happens and Ipswich beat Arsenal before that, we could win the league at the same time I think.

incredible really. Weird mindset for the players to be in being so far ahead, so you can see where the complacency is coming from. Definitely some nerves and some blind spots showing from Slot but all in all we've been outstanding.

            100%

Not a chance a single one of us had ‘League Champions’ down as a realistic outcome (I mean I did, but I always put that )

Winning isn’t easy. Thank god we have the buffer - but we’d probably be putting in better performances if we didn’t.

This is genuine immortality awaiting for this group.

it's so far beyond my expectations for this season. The premier league is such a hard thing to get across the line, we've found ourselves in a weird position where we kinda know we're going to win and can afford to drop points which must be a bit of a mind **** for the lads.

I think there's two separate things at play in the psychology of the fans that steer the conversation and reaction to these games. Nobody expected to win the league, winning the league is the be all and end all, everyone accepts it's going to happen and it's incredible. And if Klopp were still here then that would be the end of it, just celebration knowing that we're in safe hands and next season is next season.

Klopp leaving and slot coming in adds a different dimension though. It's even more incredible that we're winning it, none of us can quite explain how or believe it's happening, but it doesn't come with the confidence that we're in tried and tested hands and that, however we play now, we'll be up there tomorrow, fighting it out with city or Arsenal. We're looking at stuttering performances without knowing that they're the exception going forward. We had lots of ups and downs with klopp, but we always knew that ups would follow downs, but we have lost that confidence.

We started the season on fire and have gradually decreasing in quality, we started with one team and we know that next year's team will look quite different, but don't know what we will be building towards stylistically and how effective slot's squad will be when he's built it.

Essentially, excitement for the now, which transcends the current performances, and uncertainty about the future, which doesn't.

It feels that despite the title it feels very much like there is alot for Slot to learn and alot of improvements to make.

Not wanting to take anything away from Slot but it feels a bit like things aligned for him. In a similar way to Benitez winning the CL in his first season, he has done his own job well with (largely) someone else's squad, but there is alot of work to be done and what we have seen him do here so far doesn't give him the proven track record that it will continue if that makes sense.

In all the time we’ve all posted endless ****e online about this we’ve won the League one time.

I agree with most of the above, but now feels like the time to be very present in what’s going on. To take it all in.

Who knows when we will be here again.

Slot could improve the team with his own players, but success will then realistically only look like winning the League again. Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal would give everything to be where we are right now. Moving towards being champions.

I don’t care how we do it. Even City had dodgy wins when they won the League and we watched on with envy. How doesn’t matter (and we’ve been excellent winning with style for most of the season). Doing it does.

Having grown up and got into football towards the end of our era of dominance, then gone 30 years without a title then to win it again and be on the verge of another winning it is the main thing.

But I think we have a tendency to view football in eras, or at least I do, be they personal to me or for the club as a whole. Again, no disrespect to Slot who has done a great job but at the moment this to me feels like this is the final year of the 'Klopp era', it is still the team that he built, and the changes that are needed are evident watching us play in recent weeks, so for me this summer and the changes we are expecting to see at the moment feel more like the point we move from the Klopp era into the Slot era. That inevitably will be viewed as disrespectful to Slot, by some, but that's kind if where my head is at the moment.

The Slot era is still something of an unknown quality for all of us, we don't know what it will bring for current players, new players or trophies and we don't have much knowledge
,experience or perhaps faith that we previously had in Klopp that things will be alright.

The way Arsenal are messing up, we might not even need six points.

I’m the opposite when it comes to what I think is coming next season. I think we’ll win it again or be very close. I don’t think city will recover as quickly, that’s if they survive the punishment they might get. Arsenal are not a striker away from being the best team, they aren’t as creative as you need to be so unless Arteta changes his style they’ll do the same. There might be another team up there next season as well but we’ll be the pace setters again.

Looking at this as a bedding in season to some extent with a squad which wasn’t his he now knows which players he rates and trusts. It is frustrating as I had high hopes for Elliot as I’m a big fan but it doesn’t look like he fits what Slot wants.

He’s managed the squad well in terms of injuries while not rotating as much as we may have liked. Let him change the players he doesn’t fancy for ones he does and that becomes even better for squad management and injuries.

His style of play is also somewhat limited without all the players he would want. Then he might also be looking at changes for next season. He’s shown how adaptable he is which is very different to most modern managers. After a year in the league he’ll have some ideas about how to take the team to another level.

It’s been a long season and even that great team that won the league so easily dropped off and couldn’t sustain those levels after it was all but done. Plus teams will want to knock off the new champions especially as we’d only been beaten once.

One area I think they’ll look to improve is the physicality of the team. It’s where they’ve struggled a bit recently. And the attack. It’s never really fit together since the big three plus Origi and Shaqiri got broken up. They all fit together much better. And it’s not just this season but the last couple as well. They can score goals and have moments of individual brilliance but they don’t have that understanding and connection that you’d want. Going back to the old style of recruitment should help in buying players that work together better.

A year to figure it all out and let everything from the squad to the back room staff and recruitment team working together and the team should be stronger than ever. Plus the confidence in each other after winning it this season.
