If starts on Saturday I hope the crowd really get behind him, bit of encouragement/support might do wonders for him.

Also when Caicedo first joined Chelsea he was all over the place for months, now they are putting him up there with the best in the world.

From having watched in in open play - I do think this guy is up there with Kenny, His movement is almost poetic, he sees thing that no else sees, he needs minutes to get used to the league, but by gosh, he is a generational talent.
I make no apologies, this is me

He's not helped by his teammates either at times. There is **** all movement or quick passing, so he gets stuck on the ball and loses it.

He's played nowhere near as bad as the vocal minority would have you believe.

He's the least of our worries at the moment.

Surely we hven't created that many chances in total so far this season, so what IS this stat really?

You’re being facetious- but I’ll bite.

                    We had 20 shots at goal v Palace, 16 against Galatasaray, 11 v Everton, 27 v Burnley…

So yeah, we’ve had more than 20 shots this season.

We keep conceding tho which to me is more of an issue.

We have, but as Kenneth alluded to what's a good chance. We've had a lot more than 21 chances created this season (chance = shot on goal target/off target).

I'd like to know how many blocked shots we've had (at least double figures), although i can't actually be arsed to look it up.

                        I couldn't let this lie.

We've had 28 blocked shots, second only to Chelsea on 32.

Also, from the same site(fbref), a SCA which is slightly different to created, as it includes take ons/fouls. Wirtz features in the top 10 (7th for per 90), curiously one below Gravenberch which shows a subtle shift in his role. However how much of this is at the detriment to our overall defensive balance i'd question.

'at goal' but not on target surely

I was a bit surprised to say the least when it became apparent our best transition (from defence to attack) midfielder was been given a more advanced role this season, Grav should be our deepest lying midfielder imo, we shouldn’t need to depend on him for G/A.

Was going to post the same thing about our poor movement being the biggest issue we have. We are making it far too easy for teams to close down the man on the ball and set up traps in our passing lanes.

I find it pointless to keep slagging off Wirtz when 3/4 of the team is playing worse than him.
