surely kenny can see this. cant he plug the gap with a makeshift DM from the squad.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

I'm too lazy to check but it would be interesting to read our form since the loss of Lucas. We have been unlucky with Spearing but that surely underlines the fact that we need cover till the end of the season at least.

I hope we never see a central midfield pairing off Gerrard and Adam again.

Why can't we try someone like Agger in DM or Fabio Aurelio? Agger is comfortable on the ball and I have a feeling he would do a better job than others. Aurelio has played there before and as I recall he impressed in that position.

I remember Rafa playing Aurelio there - don't recall it being a disaster, infact he did pretty well. The problem you have then though, is what happens when his body ****s up on him again!?

Rafa played Aurelio at DM at Portsmouth IIRC. It was a shambles and we lost.

I think he should play - I think even on one leg he would do better than most of the squad!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I must be thinking of another game. Did he start that game at DM? I can't recall the specific, but the game I remember he was shifted there to cover someone went off.

Did Mascherano play RB in that Portsmouth game?

I think Aurelio has had spells of other games there too but the Portsmouth one is the one I remember most too.

Also I don't see the point in splitting the Agger-Skrtel partnership to play Agger in midfield. I'd prefer to keep our strongest defence in tact and play Carragher in midfield as long as we tell him to play short simple passes.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I thought we won that! We was losing but Torres came on a scored the winner with a header, or am I thinking of another game too?

Carragher doesn't have the legs to play in that position. With all the work rate Lucas has and how fast he is getting around the pitch, Carra wouldn't be able to handle that. I would like to see Agger there and possibly Coates playing in Agger's usual role. Agger is quick, good in the tackle and his passing is direct and usually accurate and even though he has had little experience in DM it is better than the alternatives atm.

Except in the rough and tumble (even the modern sterilised version) of midfield Agger would more than likely end up getting injured. I wince when he goes down at the end of some of his forays upfield.

Craig are you sure about that, I thought Fabio played DM in the game where we were losing and then Torres scored the winner with a header???

I'm sure we did win that game against Portsmouth with Fabio in midfield, as I remember Rafa getting a bollocking before, during and, indeed, after the game from the football management expert that is Jamie Redknapp.
Torres did score the winner towards the end. Cunt that he is.
