We had the best record quite recently, but it does seem like we are allowing other teams more space outside the box to shoot since he got injured.

We are Liverpool, when we impose ourselves on other teams by keeping possession and being positive with our play then in the majority of games we do not need a specialist DM. The likes of City away we do and yes he'll be badly missed, but Spearing will be back for that and should ease the loss as will a 3 man midfield.

Yeah one of these long shots will fly in soon, living dangerously there but overall I think we are doing alright, QPR created **** all bar a set piece chance, Villa nothing and we adapted well at Fulham after half time until the ref ruined it. We conceded more clear cut chances to Swansea and Wolves with him.

David Silva will be breathing a huge sigh of relief though.

Teams are taking advantage of the space between the midfield and the defence. It was evident from the start of Lucas' absence against Fulham.
