Would be a smart move, maybe play a 433 and have Lucas babysitting the Centre-backs.Originally posted by Bender View Post@TheAnfieldChat: Lucas could come back into consideration to face Arsenal. [Paul Joyce]

not sure if Henderson is fit or not, if not Can starts. Coutinho on the wing isn't ideal so we could swap Ibe for Ings

i like that, as much as i would prefer ibe in the wings role, i prefer we start with that, gives us much mobility and pressing in the fwd part of the field with ings, press and once they start to tire, bring on the irk of ibe and finish em off... i hope...Originally posted by Jaymo View Post

It's going to be a really tough game. We have a lot of new players that are still finding their feet & now the captain is injured, just hoping Arsenal haven't clicked into gear yet. A draw would be a great result. Lucas should start but there is no way he is match fit, but we have to play him.

The other issue about potentially selling Lucas, is the situation we find ourselves in now, an injury or two and we are out of options, particularly if we want a 3 man midfield. If Lucas was let go our options at the moment would be to play Lallana in CM or bring in RossiterLast edited by Exiled_red; 22-08-15, 10:52 AM.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

as i posted in the arsenal build up thread a few days ago.
its now or never for the reintroduction of lucas. brendan really needs to sort out his stubborn streak and do whats best for the team. if he keeps trying to prove he is the tactical genius then its going to cost him his job.
as hendo is most likely going to miss this i would like us to start like this.
lallana only gets a start as firmino has looked a little ponderous, ibe is all over the shop. maybe change for origi for the last 30.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

It is not just 3 man midfield but the fact we really do not have any other DM in our squad atm and loaning Lucas just wouldn't be smart especially if we have no intentions of replacing him with another DM as BR vision of flued/mobile midfield does not seem to include one.
Rossiter, who has been training with the first team, is not ready for that role as of yet and imo this is a huge risk but nothing new as we haven't been looking to improve in that area for long time now.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
