How can a player go from first team to sold for a nominal fee mid season.
We are absolutely hemorrhaging experience in the squad. Gerrard, Toure, Jonson,Lucas all gone in the next 6 months leaving Brad Jones and Rickie Lambert as our old heads.

FFS. This would be an absolutely ridiculous decision by Rodgers. Just as we get a decent CM pairing, he rips it apart. Farcical if true and you have to wonder about his vision for the defensive side of the team. It was a push as it is, but if we end up with Joe Allen playing DM we can kiss 4th place goodbye.Comment

This would be total madness. He is as important to us right now as Carrick has been to United in the Ferguson era. There is no way we could get a player in his position of equal quality in the Jan transfer window for £5 million. For me, Rodgers' lack of defensive organisation and then (apparent) willingness to sell our key DM raises serious concerns. I dunno why he just doesn't play rush goalie and be done with it.Comment

Sad day. Seems like he must want it too and we're scraping whatever FFP pennies we can get.
Edit: thinking about it head over heart he doesnt last long between crippling injuries and the next one could be his last.
