Aye, can't argue with that in the slightest. Diouf should have been shipped out/shot/hid in the basement after two weeks.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Neil would've been manly enough to hound Diouf out.

All managers make duff signings mate. Houllier picked some shockers but he also made some cracking signings too, as we all know.

Both had their fair share of turkeys. But they also bought in the likes of Hyypia, Henchoz, Hamman, Reina, Agger, Alonso, Torres etc.

Houllier's best signings all began with an 'H'.

Houllier was quite well supported financially compared to Rafa, was he not?

Rafa got heavy support one year and bought Torres, Masch, Lucas, Dirk etc...

Houllier got heavy support and bought Diouf, Daio etc.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

My point about Houllier was in relation to the belief by some it was his team in Istanbul. It was supposed to be a joke but a bit too subtle I guess!

I think Maxi has wronged Kenny in a former life, because he constant exclusion is baffling.

suarez and Maxi playing behind Carroll for me would surely case problems and create chances - strange one he can't get a kick

Surely there's something behind the scenes, it really doesn't make sense to me

I really dont get it. Its not that I think Maxi is going to win games single-handedly but he would seem an obvious option for our left side at the moment. Downing and Enrique just arent working as a pairing. They keep trying to make the same runs so they end up getting in each others way or standing four yards apart. With Enrique's love of getting down the line, I would have thought a player who drifts inside from the left would be an obvious combination - even just for a change. That Maxi isnt even getting 15 minutes when we need to change things is baffling.

I am a bit stumped about his absence too. We played some uber sexy football under Kenny with him, Suarez, Meireles and Dirk.

It's driving me insane. Scoring goals for fun at the end of the season, contributing to a team playing superb pass and move football, and yet for whatever reason it's clear Kenny doesn't rate him. He can't get a minute of meaningful action even when we're struggling and a fella preferred on the left wing doing **** all time and time again.

It's the change in the way we play which has screwed Maxi. Doesn't fit into the system.
