This feels a bit like when Benayoun left, another underrated, intelligent attacking player who scores goals from midfield and I still think we miss in our squad now.

I think Benayoun was more consistent and got himself involved more in the game. Maxi does disappear for large parts of it. He still should've played more, but didn't for some reason.

I'm hoping we can add some creative players in there. I still think Suarez should be one of them but that's another debate altogether.

Shelvey looks like a player who could get near 10 goals a season too if played enough.

Ridiculous isn't it.

He might be quiet at times but he's not the sort of player who will take the ball past six people; he uses his movement, calmness and touch to make things happen - very clever player.

He's a goalscoring midfielder who plays for a team that can't score goals from midfield.

Seemed to have an extra yard of pace on Tuesday night too.
