Terrible source. No quotes. Have no idea if he has even spoken to Rodgers yet.Originally posted by Lee View PostHorrible source and hardly new news anyway.
Let me leave! Maxi wants to rip up Liverpool contract after falling out of favour
Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodriguez is considering cancelling his contract.
The Argentine is desperate to get more game time and has grown increasingly frustrated by his role on the periphery of Kenny Dalglish's first team.
The 31-year-old has one year left on his contract and his advisers are keen to discuss all options with clubs in Spain and Argentina monitoring developments.
Liverpool want to bring in at least three players this summer and could let Maxi go to balance the books.

I still expect to see him leave.
Very similar to Kuyt Maxi wants to play regularly and we clearly cannot offer him that + his wages are high too.
Would like to see him stay as I think he can still cut it at highest level but I am not so sure that he wants to accept that he would be a squad player.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

based on ability i would sooner keep maxi and flog off that overpriced useless daft **** drowning.
i know its unlikely, as maxi seems to want to go. maybe if Buck offered him more time on the pitch and called a taxi for stewie

Not so sure - I read somewhere that he had the highest passing percentage of everyone in our squad. I think Rodgers would want to keep him and see him as a very useful player to get his system up and running. Obviously it depends a lot on Maxis own feelings.Originally posted by Mostar View PostI still expect to see him leave.

I would have thought the sale of one of Maxi and Kuyt was inevitable. Now Kuyt has gone I think the chances of maxi staying have gone up."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I totally agree with that. I just think he is about the most suitable player we have to Rodgers system (and he scores goals which is not something Rodgers can afford to ignore IMO).Originally posted by Rich View PostI think will need convincing he's part of the plans before deciding to stay. He won't want another season like last year."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think we should try and persuade him to stay, new manager, tactics and all that.
