I was made up when he arrived too.

There is always one player that for some reason their face doesn't seem to fit with the manager. it happens at all clubs. no real explanation it just happens.

That is quite true. Just one of them really...

Great player who just got on with it, clever player, shame it did not work out for him like it should of

Anyways, you have your view. I still think that an intelligent footballer, who never moans in the press, quietly gets on with things and produces flair football and crucially goals and assists; the whole saga might have been dealt with better, seeing as during this season we could have used a Luis Garcia/Benayoun/Maxi type player. Whatever, he's gone. I just hope we get a decent ****ing replacement and not another Downing.
As I said I would have kept him but he'd want more football and I don't think Kenny would give him that. Both him and Kuyt leaving would be a blow and I hope they're adequately replaced. As for Downing I can't see him being a regular next season. He's a bottler.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The other thing is that I think we need a player like him more than we do the traditional winger that is often talked about. I like the balance of the side we played against Chelsea and it could be improved by players we have (taking out Carragher, Lucas in for Shelvey for example).

He was excellent last night. Going to miss the Ben Stiller looking little fella.

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I understand why Maxi and Kuyt will probably be replaced, as their ageing players and are on big wages, but absolutely no excuse why Maxi has been constantly overlooked this season for the underperforming Downing & Henderson.

I think pretty much all our best performances have come when Maxi plays.

He has a few off days, sometimes skies a few chances, but he is such an intelligent footballer both attacking and defending.

I am actually a little bit worried that he won't be replaced sufficiently but hopefully we can strenghten in other areas instead.

This feels a bit like when Benayoun left, another underrated, intelligent attacking player who scores goals from midfield and I still think we miss in our squad now.
