If he was a summer signing he would have had more minutes, no doubt about it.

Saying that, if Kenny doesn't fancy him as a starter, he's man managed him well and he seems happy to play his part this season.

He clearly hasnt because Maxi wants out.

I thought his contract was up. When does it run to?

Yeah but he's kept his trap shut for most of the season. It's been an issue for a while now.

              Ta.

Did he get a year's extension on his original deal? I had it in my head he came on a 2 year contract.

Should have played a lot more. Making noises about leaving last summer wouldnt have done him many favours though.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Horrible source and hardly new news anyway.

Let me leave! Maxi wants to rip up Liverpool contract after falling out of favour

Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodriguez is considering cancelling his contract.

The Argentine is desperate to get more game time and has grown increasingly frustrated by his role on the periphery of Kenny Dalglish's first team.

The 31-year-old has one year left on his contract and his advisers are keen to discuss all options with clubs in Spain and Argentina monitoring developments.

Liverpool want to bring in at least three players this summer and could let Maxi go to balance the books.

Feel sorry for the guy. Let him go.

We don't need to let him go. He'll be off first chance he gets. Can't blame him really. Oh well.

                          I'll miss Maxi.

Wasn't given a proper chance to prove himself this season but never bitched or moaned about the lack of playing opportunities.

Epitome of a professional and I hope we see him soon as Argentinian manager as I think he would be very good in that role if he decides to go in that direction.

He has been a model professional in all of this

Not one complaint in public. He deserves to go somewhere, where he can get more game time and fits in better.

I haven't seen a quote from Maxi in that report.
                                Are we winning?
