It's the culture of social media, once something has been said the next statement almost has to go a step further to be heard. People want their opinions to be valued and once a big event happens it snowballs until a mob mentality is formed.

If he is sacked then I don't think he can complain because he's put his employers in a **** position. But people asking for his sacking are bizarre to me, David Thompson hinted at underlying issues, its easy to judge but haven't we all experienced tough times. Add someone pushing your buttons and recording it, who knows what you'd do.

Errrr, yes they represent the company they work for, especially in the public eye. If a member of my staff was arrested for drug use, assault wife battery, theft, etc etc I would have no hesitation in questioning them remaining employed. So let's say Gary Neville had spat at a car full of LFC fans, what exactly would your reaction be ? I would wager you would not be defending him ?

I’m not defending anyone, he was a massive bellend, just not sure a mistake means him (and his family) have to see him out of work. In the same way I’m not calling for the Manc to be sacked despite endangering life’s on the road. And don’t really understand the desperation so many have to see it. Will you sleep a lot better tonight if sky announces he’s jibbed?

He deserves to be sacked? What are you talking about? Its spit, not drink driving, not physical harm. Hes had a bit of road rage, spat at a car and then been caught out for it. Ive never done it personally, but I am sure I have done things that warrent me losing my job. Its just no one films them.

          Deserves to be sacked.
You were justifying it with the two sides to every story comment, it is dangerous and illegal, a) bacterial b) he could easily have caused an accident by doing that and as mentioned in my other post, had Gary Neville done this, what exactly would your position be on that ? You aren't an ex premier league footballer who is on TV are you ? If an off duty police officer had done that I would also guess he'd be sacked too. He is in the public eye, the story is in the public interest, what other outcome would he expect ? Sky Sports cannot be seen to condone this and take all the flack from supporters of every other team out there by letting him remain in his job. ****ing vile behaviour, irrespective of who he is.

He consciously opened his window to spit and react, he wasn't reacting in shock to something aimed at him. Had this happened at a football match, a la Cantona kung fu , what do you think would have happened there ?

I couldn't care less about these overpaid people, I know many of them and most of them are imbeciles. The one line they all need to tread is this one, don't **** up the ' golden gig' you have by doing something stupid.

If Gary Neville did it my reaction would be the same. Why do you insist on trying to put words in peoples mouths?

Oh, seems weird you’ve come along to post then after not posting for a year. But you don’t care, noted.

If Gary Neville did this I would have the exact same response. People have different opinions on this you have yours, you neccesarly right.

Watched Carra's interview on Sky Sports and i do feel sorry for him and he is full of remorse....As mentioned before the only grown up is the girls in this who asked her dopey dad to stop etc...But a Disgusting thing to do.

From a purely selfish point of view he gets right on my tits as a commentator so not going to lose any sleep over a multi millionaire losing a source of income for acting like an animal. If Neville and Owen get caught dogging and Owen ****ing Hargreaves loses his voice i'll be happy as larry.

I don't know where to put my moral compass on this one. Spitting is a cunt's trick, real cowardice and disgusting AF but no one has spat on me before so i don't know how i feel about it. I'd certainly prefer to take a punch i reckon - i've taken a few of those, unless it's some monster like AJ - **** that. I've never been stabbed before either, but that'd be a right inconvenience so i prefer to be spat at than endure the recovery from that ****.

I posted because i have been spat at whilst driving for the gross offence of not wanting to crash into a barrier as some selfish **** wouldn't let me get into a lane from one that was closed, who then pulled alongside me and spat through the open passenger window and then onto my windscreen as well as throwing a bottle of water at my car. I don't care about overpaid footballers and their dramas. What exactly is your point ?

Yeah it is ironically that the daughter seemed to be the only one capable of handling the situation correctly.

I suggest you re-read the previous thread carefully, assuming you are unable to do so properly & if you need a hand, the 'not caring' was in relation to the 'how would i sleep' remark related to the outcome of Carragher's fate vs the actual scenario of spitting itself.

Anymore lame ass remarks to add ?
