Yeah, never easy when your own kids get dragged into the equation and questioning.
Sometimes we could do well to show some remorse and forgiveness in society. People make mistakes. It’s not the same as Keys and Gray who were sacked for something that was endemic.
He’s facing up to it. Will be interesting to see if he gets burned or forgiven.

I think if SKY were going to sack him they would have done
The interview above is the start of his journey to some sort of redemption & he's a long way to go yet but he'll come through it
Common employment laws state that you should be suspended firing an investigation, interviews, etc. People are rarely sacked outright unless it is something pretty grave. That said a few weeks suspension will probably be enough for this incident. Either way, he's not going to starve so I don't really care less tbh.

The fact that the interview happened is overall a positive thing for him holding onto his job with Sky, and you feel a carefully orchestrated response to 24hrs of exceptionally bad press.
Personally I think he can be sorry and show remorse, but for a grown man to respond to provocation in that manner is quite telling to a person's character in my experience. So let's just leave it at that.
It's hardly the end of the world if he remains in the job or not, as something else will come along to make news.

Certainly looks like Sky are doing everything they can to keep him.
Having him on Sky News to express his remorse and Neville's tweet urging Sky to keep him, appears coordinated.
So long as the public's reaction softens, they'll bring him back after serving a suspension and another apology.
Think a bit might depend as well on whether or not he gets charged/cautioned for common law assault.
He pleaded guilty to a road rage incident some years back, think it ended with him and some other guy getting out of their cars and pushing each other about on the road side, so if he was charged a second time for another road rage incident then the fall out might be bigger.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
