I'm sure he's very embarrassed and ashamed.
He ****ed up, it's a bizarre and disgusting reaction and it was pretty shocking to see him do that. However, he's apologised. I don't see the sense in lynching him for a one off indiscretion.
The predictable rush from rival fans to be mortally offended and scream for his sacking purely because of his LFC association is also boring and nauseating..

He clearly thought he was just gobbing at the car, but it happened to coincide with the girl winding the window down.
The Dad as well
What a reaction, he almost sounds chuffed that it happened. He doesn't sound at all outraged. Doesn't ask if she is ok. Just asks where it hit her and continues his commentary. He is clearly a dick. Surely he can get done for driving and using his mobile?
It is unfortunate, pretty unsavoury and I reckon Carras going to get sacked also.
Idiots all round.Modifying post.

Bit of road rage, move on.
Yeah, a spitting incident always brings out the madness, so far I've seen "it's the worst thing you can do" and "I'd rather be stabbed than spat at". **** sake.
And Joey Barton lecturing on how to conduct yourself.

Yep. And when you think of the potential consequences of drink driving, or even being preoccupied with filming someone while driving, versus a bit of flob.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostWell it's like the Suarez biting thing. The eww factor seems to overcome logical response..

How did it become an issue of which is worse? Why doesn't Random bloke uses phone to video while driving get as much coverage as public figure spitting at a 14 year old girl's window? Is that a question that really needs asking? Clearly both are unacceptable, maybe we should have a thread for the other bloke where we can call him irresponsible or defend him as appropriate.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

So who does he get compared to for this.
Frank Rijkaard, Diouf, or Pique?
Obvious provocation aside, it is a scummy thing for anyone to do, especially a grown man. Not sure what it says about him if spitting is his default reaction to some asshole looking for a reaction, who himself is using a phone to record whilst driving and setting many poor examples for his kid, but in this instance it does not paint him in a good light.
I do know how most Liverpool supporters reacted to Diouf though when he spat at supporters. So cannot see how Carragher should get any less condemnation for his spitting. It was a scummy thing to do and that act deserves scorn. Pretty sure if one of our supporters put up a video of an ex Manc spitting at a Liverpool supporter, then we would be up in arms and it would be getting called the lowest of the low.
Does not change his legacy as a player in the slightest. That is what it is, and will always be that way. But it does show him up as a person.
Sad thing about the clip is that the adults involved were all in the wrong imo, with all the adults showing bad/scummy behaviour and the only person who seemed to be behaving her age was the 14 year old girl who ended up being spat on because the adults could not act in a grown up manner.
One thing that has stood out if how some players and pundits with very poor track records or their own, and criminal records in the case of some, have been quick to point the finger as if their own **** does not stink. Joey Barton doing interviews about how it is one of the worst things he has ever seen had me shaking my head. Might be best for lads like that to keep their mouths shut but then again that would be assuming that people like that have any bit of self awareness..I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

No ones making it an issue of which is worse, or asking why Carra's actions gets more attention than the driver's, or Gallacher's. We know why. I've already said why. Just comparing the strength of reactions people choose to have depending on who's involved rather than any real concern about what has happened.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHow did it become an issue of which is worse? Sorry, should this thread be purely limited to Carragher spitting and nothing else, including the other people involved?.

If I were the parent in that clip I’d be as embaressed by my actions. He is breaking the law (driving and filming), he shows little regard for his daughter in that clip, and is clearly more interested in bating Carragher whilst driving than he is with the safety of his child.
I’d not be putting the clip on social media. He needs to take a look at himself.Modifying post.
