    It is..was funny......but What was Carragher?? a failed Striker/ Midfielder/ Left Back/ Right back..

Also I disagreed with the majority of his comments about Scholes and then the repeated by did he play him left for england and why by veron. He failed to even answer why Gerrard was shifted to right under Rafa. G Nev made valid points.

He was a successful centre half though which makes sense of his friendly dig at Neville and rather undermines your point I'd have thought.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Carragher struggled to get his point across and to be honest I found myself cringing at that part, Gerrard and Lampard are comparable but Scholes played in a deeper role for a good 8-10 years. The Veron argument I thought was strange and as you said Gerrard played right wing under Rafa and has played on the left for England as well.

I thought the Veron argument was spot on - Carra was basically saying if Scholes was so good at dictating play, then why was Veron brought to united by Fergie to effectively be the one who would dictate play.

He is right though, speaking from own experience, each time I've ended up at the fullback it's not been of choice but because someone was deemed faster at the wing (which is perfectly understandable btw )

he's a failed striker and a failed centre mid.

you might also argue he's a failed full back.

He played all those positions until Rafa moved him to centre back

He played as a striker when he was 9

One last honour for Reds legend Carra

Retired star named region's player of 2013

Jamie Carragher collected probably his last football award last night – and it was a prestigious one.

The recently retired Liverpool FC defender collected the Premier League Player of the Year title at the North West Football Awards.

The award is voted for by the fans and Carragher was at Lancashire Cricket Club’s Point Conference Centre to receive the accolade.

Carragher, now a successful Sky TV pundit, saw off competition from Everton left-back, Leighton Baines, Manchester United’s England midfielder Michael Carrick and City defender Pablo Zabaleta.

It’s the second consecutive season this particular award has gone to Anfield after Martin Skrtel’s success at the 2012 Awards night.

Anfield starlet Jerome Sinclair, who made his senior debut in the Capital One Cup at West Bromwich Albion last season, was named Rising Star of the Year, while there were also strong Anfield links to two of the other individual awards.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Absolutely brilliant one hour programme about him last night. Well worth finding if you didn't catch it. Comes across brilliantly, and reliving Istanbul is always pretty incredible.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

It was funny going between him and his Da, with his Da contradicting everything he said.
