I've watched it loads, but I still can't see what he does to make both Kompany and Hart go to their respective left, allowing him to drag over to the right and slot home
But I don't give a **** either way
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

When he first turns back to the left i think he does so with the intention of passing across goal, he almost go's to release the ball and for an instant looks up and sees noone, so he calmly pulls it back to the right and slots it.
I honestly think that in that instant, Kompany and Hart expect Sterling to pass to someone, it catches them out momentarily; and so gives Sterling what seems like an age to slot it.

Not sure why we need to make comments like this. As much as I hate Owen now and as good as Sterling is looking now, Michael Owen was more than a teenage flash in the pan. An 18 year old Owen was just frighteningly good.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI don;t agree with it, but Hazard will probably get young player. Sterling has it al, he's frighteningly good. He doesn't look like a teenage flash in the pan like Owen or whoever, he looks like a world class talent in the making.

Maybe, but my point is that he reached his peak very early in his career. I'm not commenting on his ability, more about the longevity of his peak.Originally posted by peekay View PostNot sure why we need to make comments like this. The run which led to his "shot" in the second half was a prime example of this. Collected the ball under pressure, fooled two and accelerated away (one of the City players even had a kick at him).Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostFor me his trademark is being marked by two players only to turn and accelerate away.
He's done it so many times now!
Just unfortunate that Suarez didn't offer him any great through ball opportunity at that moment.
Very impressive game from him yesterday, and the goal was just a stunning example of the maturity and composure he's brought to his game since coming back into the fold."I will make the boys feel your support"

its not just his ability to race away with the ball, he has shown so much more to his game. the belief in his own ability to send kompany and hart the wrong way. taking the ball from the defence, being closed down by a couple or players and dribbling through them and turning defence into attack in seconds. he is amazing at shielding the ball. his close control is just great.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I was shouting to pass and then as cool as you like he drops the shoulder and strokes it home.
