Superb yesterday, not just with the goal but his willingness to take people on and receive the ball in tough situations to relieve pressure similar could be said with Coutinho.

Was thinking exactly the same when commenting on Cout in the Cout thread, Sterling came into my thoughts as now being totally immersed into the team, at 19yrs of age and showing the skill and forethought he does, just awesome.

On this form he's one of the very best players in the league - ignoring his age, he's strong as an ox, lightning quick, composed, bags of trickery, a 90-minute engine, with the intelligence to do the right thing on the pitch at the right time.

Good for us I say. He can develop patiently without much pressure though to be honest, there's not much more for him to 'develop'. He looks a finished product already.

It is weird, theres been a media wankfest over a lot of our players this season but he barely gets a mention. Being in an attack with two insane goalscorers wont help in that regard but still, this is a 19 year old English lad taking the piss out of Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal and co. 7 goals in 20 starts. He's going to be one of the best in the world, I've got no doubt about that, the only question is whether he reaches Messi, Ronaldo type levels.
