Would you sell, considering Ibe and Origi will be with us soon?

Oh we are a selling club again huh? In that case I prefer off loading the others such as Glen, maybe Allen, defo Lovren, and bring back some of our youngsters from loan, start playing lucas, toure and sakho when fit, and just buy a top class striker. .and no, defo not sell our top attacking players twice in the space of half a year...I rather advocate that...

Sterling has scored a couple of corkers for us. Norwich away and City at home last season.
He's only played 71 games, wow, guess its easy to think he's been here ages. Tony Daley for a season or two was almost unplayable due to his speed, once the injuries came he tailed off. Sterling does need to improve his finishing if he is to make the next step up. With his pace and strength and the fact that defenders can barely touch you these days, its all there for him to go on and make it big.

For what its worth I wouldn't sell Sterling. Just putting the alternative scenarios out there.

His greatest attribute is his off the ball movements, tactically he's very astute. He's had this since day one and is why Rodgers loves him. The "Football Brain" is what Rooney had as a youngster and is one of the few things in football that are insanely difficult to learn. He just has it.

What he doesn't have in his locker is the final touch. That cross from out wide, that finish. All that is still in development. But that sort of thing can be worked on and improved. No matter how good a finisher you are, if you don't get in the positions regularly you won't score. Raheem gets in the positions when given the opportunity to do so. The goals will come. And that's when he starts being worth big wages.

I do hope he isn't turned into a striker though, long term. Having a player like Raheem who can contribute from elsewhere on the pitch is vital to being a top side.

Yeap and he is going to get better, looks like he is a 'worker' as well and defo a fighter...to sell him would be insane... sorry there is no one other like him in the world in his age bracket... however for 120K >150K per week is madness...

                  Offer him £100k
                  What's an extra 30k a week ?
£1.6m a year is nothing when you consider what we regularly waste signing people who are never ever going to contribute.
We'll also be freeing up plenty more wages when two of our biggest earning non performers Johnson and Gerrard leave.

I'm not sure throwing money at him is going to be enough to keep him.

Neither am I but £70k is either a piss take or part of a plan to sell him
you get that for washing the kit at city

we need to offer him 100k, get him signed for five years.

if we get another year or two out of him then its a bonus, but we will then more than recoup our overspend on wages when he leaves to impregnate the senoritas.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

£100,000 a week for a just-turned-20 year old is crazy talk.

Say he signs for five years and over the next two years, he starts finding some consistency and becomes an integral part of our team; Where do we go from there? £125,000? But we've just quadrupled his previous wage, so they push for more. Then after five years, he hits his peak and we're back at the negotiating table talking stupid amounts of money.

Liverpool are right with the figure they're currently in. Anything else is just bonkers.

One name jumps out at me straight away and that is Maximilian Meyer at Schalke he is younger than Sterling and will not turn 20 until September next year, but he can play in the AM role as well as cover in the striker or wide forward roles.

Very clever player with excellent dribbling ability, an eye for a pass, and like Sterling he seems to be able to able to drift into the right positions. Also like Sterling his finishing needs a little work, but already looks superior to players a number of years older than him and is putting in good performances in a strong league. He is probably closer in style to another young german in Mario Gotze (another guy who was playing very well in a top team in a top league by his late teens and who is only 22 now)
