And according to rumours Rodges didn't sign any of them and tried to ship some out. BUT I doubt there is a manager out there who'll get more out of Coutinho and maybe Sterling. Rodgers could very well have played at least as big a part of Suarez's good fortune as Luis did for us.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post20 years old. It's madness. Sterling and the others should keep that in mind. And we the fans, me especially, should also keep it in mind.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Crazy isn't it, such potential - you can add others into the mix too.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post20 years old. It's madness. He's going to be absolutely world class. In my mind it does mean we need to supplement all that young talent with a couple of experienced older heads in the summer.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

First post of thread.Originally posted by reds123 View PostAre you watching the game? Just scored a hatrick, 2 of the goals are simply superb!!! What a player! (better use him in the first team
as we don't have a decent lw)
Very unusual for one thread to be kept for a particular player on here. Would make some interesting reading one would imagine and leave some very red faces.
Personally I remember saying Suso was better and at one stage that we should loan him to Everton.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I've just tried to flick through some of mine, think I fared a little better

Sterling is the best English player to break through since Rooney and the best we've 'produced' since Owen/Gerrard.
Some idiots on here are slating him. #bestfansintheworld
Put it this way, if we can't agree a new contract with him Man U/Man C/Chelsea/Arsenal/ Spurs will all be fighting to sign him.
Probably top continental sides as well.
Yeah, Sterling is ****/over hyped
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I ****ing hope so! Club needs to get it wrapped up, its being dragged through the media now and its never good to have uncertainty around your better players.Originally posted by dizzycat View PostWill he or won't he accept the "incredible offer"? I love the pantomime of football, with polarised opinions. I reckon he probably will.Vive la France

Liverpool star Raheem Sterling is set to turn down the improved contract he has been offered by the club, reports talkSPORT.
The club made the offer over a month ago, but the two parties have yet reach an agreement. Brendan Rodgers has described the deal on the table as “incredible” and he has warned Sterling’s representatives that Liverpool will not pay over the odds, as reported by The Guardian.
Sterling signed a five-year deal in December 2012 that took his wages to around £30,000-per-week, as reported by the BBC, and Liverpool now want to secure the 20-year-old’s long-term future with Real Madrid believed to be monitoring the England international. TalkSPORT claim that the European champions will make an offer for Sterling in the summer if he doesn’t come to terms over a new contract.
Sterling was a key player in Liverpool’s title challenge last season, and he has become increasingly important to the team during the current campaign. He has played up front in the absence of Daniel Sturridge, rather than in his usual midfield role, as a result of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert’s disappointing form. The two summer arrivals have only scored two league goals between them for Liverpool.
He has scored five goals and registered five assists in 23 league appearances this season, and his pace, skill and lively movement has helped to reinvigorate Liverpool’s attacking play recently after a very disappointing start.
Rodgers’ side are currently seventh in the league, though they are only five points off the Champions League places. They take on Tottenham at Anfield on Tuesday, having beaten them 3-0 at White Hart Lane in August.
