It wasn't just his goal scoring but, it was his attitude. The season before when he first started to slip he just looked like he could not give a **** half the time and just gradually got worse.Originally posted by RoboKop View PostHmm, aye not great at all. That having been said, it was under The Bodge. Even Luis wouldve struggled under that buffoon.
I didn't say anything here for fear of getting abused but chatting with mates in RL I'd been saying I wanted him gone for ages.

Asked about Torres on Friday, he said: "Obviously we want him to score more goals. But does he have a future? Yes."
The former Liverpool forward was left out of the starting line-up for Chelsea's quarter-final first-leg loss to PSG, with Andre Schurrle preferred up front.
"During [his] period at the club he has had moments, some of them important moments," Mourinho added.
"He works hard for the team and brings things to the team. He is contracted and a good professional."Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I was speaking to a fellow red today, who is a family friend of the club doctor Zaf Iqbal. You've probably spotted him on matchdays, the asian guy with glasses.
Now don't shoot the messenger but my friend told me that Dr Iqbal said that Fernando Torres never wanted to leave us. He was infact forced out by the club as his knee injury was really bad. The report on his knee said that due to the seriousness of the knee issue that the player will only be able to run at pace in a straight direction. Previousley he could change direction and move side-to-side when running at pace. At the time (summer 2010) the Doc also stated that 'within 3 years the player will be finished'.
My mate who told me this is not a bull****ter. Maybe it also explains Torres's constant 'the LFC fans dont know the truth, but one day they will' stance.

I remember reading that same version of events about a year ago, can't remember who the source was though (might even have been on here). It does all seem to stack up..

I heard from a similarly decent source he wanted Rafa gone or he'd leave, Rafa went then we got Woy, he left the following the Jan.
Was his terrible perfomances a sulk or knee injury? Then there was the transfer request just before he left. Who knows
I reckon his head was turned just like Gerrard, his people wanted one thing and he went along with it, before having a change of heart but the transfer was too far along to be stopped.
