Milner could be our most important player in the second half of the season. His experience of winning could be invaluable.

He's ace and so level headed whilst being combative and well driven. It's a pretty rare set of characteristics

This is my worry vs City, it's such a huge thing having that winning mentality & experience when the business end of the season comes up.

Yeah... dont win nuffin wiv kids.

I think our team has enough experience to hold their nerve. I think the biggest loss will be VVD or Ramses, as we dont have quality replacements.

Losing Millie would be a blow, but we have a lot of midfielders with both experience and quality that can fill in. We cant plan for a Migfart.

What's Milner's contract situation? I was looking at lists of players out of contract in the summer and he's listed on them. But there is something where James Pearce is suggesting he is under contract until summer 2020.

I am assuming that it must be the latter otherwise we would surely have offered him an extension by now? Unless I've missed something. There was talk of him going back to Leeds but I assumed that was just paper talk or was a few more years away if there was any truth in it.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Maybe he wants to wait and see if Leeds get promoted. Hopefully they don't as a) Dirty club 2) Might make Millie go there sooner c) He's still great

Yeah that's what I found, as well as a number of sites listing players out of contract but in this Q&A page in the echo Pearce says there is some confusion but it's definitely 2020 but he's the only one I can find saying that.

He'd be a big loss, as well as his quality he's one of the few players who currently have experience of winning the PL (although hopefully that will change this year), but also it would take at least 2 players to cover all the positions he can play

"It was a good result. We didn't play our best but it is about defending well and getting three points."

                            Oh I don't know.
