Agree with Tee. For me he's too placid a character. He reminds of Heskey in that sense. If he had Shelvey's drive, determination and belief he'd make it here. Sadly he doesn't.

agree with the above - a total meh player. nothing about him stands out - average passing, average pace, average tackling, average . . . . . everything.
was excited when he signed thinking was one for the future and hope he does "a lucas" but i cant see it and would punt in the summer window.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Agree with this.Originally posted by dww View PostI like him as a player but he's redundant in the squad with us having Sahin, Shelvey and Gerrard all seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order. I think his lack of first team exposure is hurting his development and we need to get rid at this stage. I think he has been unlucky and deserved better but if Rodgers doesn't rate him he needs to go.

Henderson's gone mate. If he survives January he'll almost certainly be shipped out next summer. Perhaps if he was on low wages and excelled in one area/position he might have some sort of future here but as things stand he's a goner along with Carroll, Downing, Cole and possibly Enrique.Originally posted by ronanm View PostBUMP..
I see he has said he's not a flop in the news section. I think he's a good player. The £16m mentioned isn't accurate, but anytime I have seen him play I thought he looked tidy enough. It's not helped that he's always out of position, but I do wonder why BR feels he shouldn't be in the team more often - particularly since our squad is whafer thin as is.

those 5 gone by summer would be great busines!!Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View PostHenderson's gone mate. If he survives January he'll almost certainly be shipped out next summer. Although buying that lot for 75million and selling for half of that if we are lucky can hardly be called great business
But off the payroll and lets start again!!

what do people think they are worth?
My guesses:
Carroll - paid £35m, sell for £12-13m.
Downing - paid £20m, sell for £6-7m.
Henderson - paid £13m, sell for £5-6m.
Cole - free, released on a free if we're lucky.
I think Enrique will be here next year, but if not then - paid £6m, sell for £4m.
So paid £78m, sold for less than £30.
Obviously no consideration of wages, so a bit pointless but just for 'fun'.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Carroll's will depend on how well he does out on loan though i suppose.

So i reckon we might get nearer 40m, I suppose we have probably made 15m on Luis ( not that we are going to sell ) So its not all bad.Originally posted by Kenneth View Postwhat do people think they are worth?
My guesses:
Carroll -paid £35m,sell for £12-13m. Higher 17m (thought this was agreed?)
Downing - paid £20m, sell for £6-7m. (MON might push it to 9m)
Henderson - paid £13m, sell for £5-6m.(might squeeze 8m out if we are lucky)
Cole - free, released on a free if we're lucky. ( give someone 1m)
I think Enrique will be here next year, but if not then - paid £6m, sell for £4m.
(About right)
So paid £78m, sold for less than £30.

Carroll - £10m
Downing - £7m
Henderson - £5m
Cole - FREE (realistically we'll be paying all/majority of his atronomical wages for a couple more years)
Enrique - £5mJames Philip Milner Fanclub #1

He needs to really step up and takes some risks.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostAgree with Tee. For me he's too placid a character. He reminds of Heskey in that sense. If he had Shelvey's drive, determination and belief he'd make it here. Sadly he doesn't.
He plays too safe to really make any real impact.
That said I'm not so sure he'll be around much longer.
Clearly we wanted to use him as a make-weight to attract Dempsey and that attempt only failed coz Hendo blocked the trade but that may not be the case next time.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

He seems all too happy to hide in the shadows. He's too nice, a bit of a pussy. The "perfect professional" I'm sure, but he doesn't come across as having the fight in him to make it all the way to the top.Originally posted by Mostar View PostHe needs to really step up and takes some risks.

Interesting you said that coz I remember that when he played at Sunderland and when he was used in the midfield he was very much offensive minded player that was not afraid to take risk, try long pass, try to score etc.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostHe seems all too happy to hide in the shadows. I'm not sure if it is the pressure of the big club or just his mental strength but he looks like completely different player with us.
Time will tell but being "perfect professional" and keepy-uppy king will not get him any playing time in the starting lineup.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
