very little positive contribution. played a few high balls into the box but our players were never going to win the headers against the sunderland defence. allowed the ball to run over his foot and go out a couple of times, piss poor concentration.

i do get that he has had a few good games, but i wonder if they were just false dawns

Or maybe he just had a poor game? He has been good more often than not this season.

He cannot play wide and it should not come as a surprise it didn't work yesterday.

Once he was moved to a mid, after Sterling entered the match, he looked ok like during Suarez 2nd goal coz it was Hendo's run in the box that caused the defender to go after him and opened up the space for Suarez to score.

Lot of times those things go unnoticed and they shouldn't.

Reading between the lines. Henderson's form has taken a slight dip recently and, as a player who has suffered from confidence issues in the past, Rodgers feels he needs a pat on the back. Good to single him out

He's become our Mr fix it has Hendo. Will be pleased to see him back in the centre of the pitch.

He's been developed similarly to Gerrard, ie plying his trade in all manner of positions. It'll stand him in good stead when eventually he's plonked in the middle

Although I'm not too arsed to be honest. If I'm going to be extremely harsh on Henderson I think his tackling could do with some improving, but besides that (from what I saw, streams where a ****house today) he was very very good today.

Hopefully that performance will give Lucas a kick up the arse, Hendo is *so* much better through the middle of the park.
