Thanjk you.

I think with the right coaching he'll become a really good player for us. He needs to find his position and play with confidence but it's clear he's got talent and a ****ing great engine.
What a ****ing shift tonight. That run he made in our counter attack 2nd half when Bellamy ran with the ball and crossed was unbelievable...about 70 minutes in, ten men and ran from right back to get there. A big night for him tonight, he'll be buzzing now.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Big respect and credit to Henderson tonight, put in a difficult situation and a foreign position for him, but he worked all night, put in a great shift and displayed some fantastic character.
Lucas had the positional discipline/intelligence yes hes improved on it but he had the basics to work with
I disagree with the generalisation that it comes with experience. Alonso had it at 22, Gerrard still doesnt have it at 31
Some can learn it to a certain degree, others can improve on what they already have but very few actually go from zero to being really good at positional play
Henderson for me thats his biggest problem. Take Villa's goal as a case in point. A decent defensive midfield player wouldnt have let Herd run off him. A decent holding player would have been positioned so he was in front of and facing Herd
I think if you look at Henderson and his best performances for us, they have all come when he was playing higher up the pitch in a high tempo pressing role
Whenever hes been asked to play deeper he has disappointed
I think he is definitely better further up the pitch. He has a very quick footballing brain and can see things happening which suits his one touch passing and excellent engine.
He's been a bit up and down recently, but I guess that's to be expected playing in a faltering team as we have been. He was great last night, some engine on him!
Thought he was outstanding last night, given the circumstances.
What summed him up for me last night for me, was when he had the ball on the right, no one else out wide to pass to, so he thought **** it and took it past the defender and got the cross in
I thought he came around little bit. See this frame that I didn't include in my comp (got some "grilling" on Youtube that I missed the most important moment )
