I thought he found is position last night, playing the alonso role sitting deep and spreading very good passes. Looks ten times the player in the middle of the park and is definitely one for the future. He has been wasted and lost on right.

Downing was poor though and Enrique to be honest.

He was awful and he is never a CM, he played 11 long pass and while 10 where acurate, only 2 went forward, he is nothing like Alonso. He is wasted everywhere but on the bench,

I rate plenty of players, just not enough of ours sadly . While we are languishing in midtable you have to think that maybe we really are lacking quality.

And with more than fair reason. We are where we are because we have too many average to ****e players in the first team. With this team we are as far away from ever challenging for the league as I can remember in my lifetime.

I think Henderson has some decent attributes, but my biggest problem with him is so often the game passes him by, there are times where for long periods of the game I haven't noticed he's playing. He's been here for a few months and I still don't know what type of player he is or where he should be playing. Whether this is a problem with him or with the position he's playing in or the tactics or what, I don't know.

That is cos football is making me depressed right now I need to vent my frustrations.

Can't, care too much. Even when I am hating watching us, I still have to watch, did it through Hodgson and doing it now

I think he was left isolated by Shelvey going walkabouts.

I also think a team - and player - low on confidence, will look to keep the ball and keep us ticking over, which he did yesterday. Yes, he needs to take some ownership of a game, but that will come with experience.

If he goes for the Hollywood ball and loses possession, he's ****. He keeps possession and keeps it simple, he's ****.

what is his contribution to the team when we have lost possession...
he never seems to chase a man down, stand up to a face to face challenge, always reluctant/scared to put his foot in to a 50/50.

he is translucent, almost invisible.

I think he's a clever tackler, using his ability to read the game to nick the ball.

What I've yet to see from him is some consistent tenacity. When he's played on the right, he passed players on, in the middle of the park he can't do that and it is an area of the game he needs to improve on.

I still think his future is as an attacking midfielder, with someone else doing the dirty side of the game alongside him, freeing him up to utilise his vision and quick passing ability.
