Thanjk you.

Henderson was really bad in the first half, and I've been a believer of him throughout the season. He lacks confidence, and it's holding him back, but that's something that naturally happens to young players who have made the "big" move a bit too soon.
There is no doubt in my mind that he has the ability to become an exceptional talent. I really think he can become a lethal midfielder in the final third. He's got a great engine, great technical ability (which isn't always showcased because of confidence) and has the intelligence to know how to exploit space. That usually translates to goals if the player is more confident and fearless.
His weaknesses are on the defensive end. His engine is enough to make him dependable but he cannot perform a tackle to save his life. He also tends to hide in his shell for long spells during the game.
Look at his two passes to Suarez in the build up to two of our goals. When he doesn't have time to think, he usually does the right thing. Then look at his atrocious pass in the first half that has squandered a great chance when he had three better options to create a goal if he was just more assertive in his play.
It's all confidence. It can transform a useless passeger (And Henderson has been that quite often) into a top asset. In my eyes, Carroll has come out of his shell and looked the part, and I'm waiting for Henderson to do the same. Think it's just a matter of time, he needs a goal to make him believe in himself and what he's doing.
I'm getting sick and tired of reading negative comments about Henderson. If he was so ****e he wouldn't be capt of his age group internationally. He'll be the better player for being thrown in at the deep end this season.
heard some fans call him Jordan Horrendous at the game a tthe weekend, way to support your team. cnuts.
His passing in the first 20 minutes was dreadful, but as the game went on he did improve. Decent but we really do need better players.
He needs to play inside as a CM, when he plays, as his contribution on the right is not good enough (his crossing needs some major improvement) and personally I would try out Shelvey in more central role over Henderson anyways.
There is no point of keeping him on the bench as he won't learn much just being there..
I think it was down to nerves to be fair, I think the occasion and the fact it was his first Merseyside derby (bar a brief cameo at Goodison when we'd won) which gave him a heavy touch and a few passes or crosses were rushed or over hit - it didn't affect his movement, but once he got a hold of himself, he grew in to the game.
Bit more composure and luck and he could have been involved in about 4-5 goals. Look at the compilation again if you doubt it. He is a very tidy player for me and once he steps up he will be of the highest quality.
Was reading an article where he was just dismissed out of hand for his contribution this season. A bit unfair because I've seen a lot of your games where he's been asked to play as a right winger/wide midfielder... Don't know what he lacks but he's much more effective in the middle.
He's very athletic and as he continues to fill out he will be a handful for anyone. He's got good close control, can run with the ball and has an eye for a pass. He's got the big move a bit soon imo, a bit like Carroll, and would not have played as much but for injuries to your squad.
Of Kenny's signings, other than Bellamy and Enrique, Henderson is the one that's shown the most promise. To dismiss his contribution this season is very harsh on the lad. He's the least of our problems to be honest!

Suarez?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
Henderson played at right midfield for Sunderland so there are no excuses for him, even though it's popular opinion his best position is at CM. Funny though that even Kenny said he doesn't know Henderson's best position. IMO he has good engine and is neat and tidy. The worst thing about him for him apart from his lack of contribution, is that he is a wimp.
For me, even if a player isn't playing well and is struggling in the game, at least put in a f*ckin tackle and show show desire! That if nothing else would be something that fans would appreciate, but i just see him aimlessly running around & avoid tackles at all costs. And for me he is a passenger is most games.
I do agree that he made the big club move too soon & has been used to often this season as a starter. I said at the start of the season that i would like to see Henderson & Downing used sparingly and as impact players. It has been to our detriment that these two "wide" men have been starters in nearly every single game.
IMO both will never be good enough to be starters, if LFC have any ambitions of returning to the top tier.

Not in Sunderland it isn't. Just about to a man they are adamant he was more effective out on the right.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
