Unless we splash out on a centre mid I think that'll be our first choice midfield next season. Can't wait to see Lucas and Henderson together, I think they're really well suited.

What about Shelvey? I'd prefer him over Henderson tbh.

I do like him but I think that three would blend better. Defensive mid in Lucas who can dictate tempo, link player in Henderson who I think would play at a similar tempo to Lucas so they'd blend well, and Gerrard linking up with the striker

But Shelvey offers far more going forward while neither player are good enough defensively.

Sorry I don't get what all the fuss is about with Henderson, I don't think he is a particularly good player and I don't think he offers enough of has the right mentality, if you don't like that, **** off.

I think we need to see how Henderson would get on next to Lucas before making the conclusion he's not good enough, back when we had Alonso and Mascherano in the middle many didn't think Lucas was good enough and have been proved wrong

Henderson has a fantastic engine and is a good passer, like Lucas he can learn the positional side of the game and IMO he has all the tools to potentially build a great partnership with Lucas.

All depends on how hard he is willing to work at his game

That is possible, but in the mean time we need better starters imo.
