I was wrong about Lucas and I have no problem admitting that. But I was also right about Adam, Downing, N'Gog, Babel, Mellor and whole **** load of other players. Actually now that I think about it Lucas was the one player that I've been wrong about.

He's bang average and he always will be. As I've said before the lad doesn't have a single quality that is above average apart from stamina which means **** all. Just out of interest what qualities do you think Henderson has right now which mark him out as a quality player ???

well, his game intelligence. his quick thinking. his vision. his quick, one touch passing game. his tactical awareness. the ingredients are all there for a super cm.

This idea that because a player is under 23 we can't make judgements is utter ****e. We signed N'Gog when he was 19 and sold him when he was 22. Why ? Because he wasn't good enough and the same goes for Babel, Nemeth, Paletta, Pacheco, Mellor, Ayala, Bruuna to name but a few.

Jordan Henderson is not a terrible player he's just painfully average in every single department apart from having a ''good engine'' and running around a lot which frankly any halfwit can do. He'll be given another season I'm sure because of his age and transfer fee but he'll never be a regular starter because he isn't Liverpool quality and he never will be.

When Henderson has the confidence to demand the ball more and be a little more selfish when on the edge of the box then he will become a great player

I think he's a good player and should play centre midfield. He passes the ball well and has good vision and doesn't lose it.

With Lucas his performances were not great but he showed signs that he could develop. What I liked most about him was that he always supported the man on the ball, which is one of the fundamentals of pass and move. Henderson hasn't got the confidence yet to do that in a Liverpool shirt. Too often when he receives a pass he passes it straight back. Unfortunately Downing has a tendency to do the same. I don't recall either of them having problems taking responsibility at their former (lesser) clubs so there is still hope.

Unless we splash out on a centre mid I think that'll be our first choice midfield next season. Can't wait to see Lucas and Henderson together, I think they're really well suited.

That's what I would expect to see unless we make signings in that area, I'd also expect/hope to see Shelvey getting game time. However I don't really see room for Adam...
