Started 30 odd games for us and anonymous in about 98% of them, i'd love to think he was subbed because he's crap, but unfortunately to Kenny's and LFC detriment all season long, i think Henderson like Downing will start

Hendo and Shelvey will never ever make it at Liverpool. IMO neither are anywhere near looking like they can reach the standards this club must demand if we ever want to win the title again. However, if all we want is to keep fighting for a top 8 finish every season they have a future here, along with Adam, Carroll and Downing.

The owners are never going to spend the money and pay the kind of wages City are paying. Look at Arsenal, they've been struggling since adopting a policy of not spending huge sums.

I don't see many positives at the moment, and I know few people will agree with this but I genuinely think Henderson will come good.

You can see he has good touch and awareness and always tries to inject pace and directness into his play, he can pick a pass, and I'd imagine in another season he can get a few goals. He has joined the club at a bad time, been played more than he should have in his first season and suffered. But there is some genuine potential in his play (he is only 21 FFS) I see him the same way Lucas was a few years ago, Hendersons technique and attitude are sound (as was Lucas) but he needs more coaching to fulfill his potential and take his game on another level. Compare Henderson to say Downing, who at 27 should be nearing his peak, but doesn't have the bottle to make it a bigger club. He should be a senior player, one a young guy like Henderson can look to when the chips are down. But Downing shows nothing. He doesn't inspire, he just does nothing.

I agree Hendo has been played much more than he should, for me he has some good attributes but jesus christ the guy goes AWOL in nearly every game. RM or CM doesn't seem to matter, he lacks any sort of aggression and for me just runs around aimlessly.

Love for him to good like Lucas did, but one thing Lucas never lacked was aggression and balls. Downing is just pathetic

The crucial thing is they do have a greater number of quality players than we have in the right areas and having those players can help you afford to have the likes of Carroll, Shelvey, Adam & Henderson

Henderson should be getting less game time next year as long as we bring in a creative central midfielder alongside Lucas (or train him into that type of player, like at Gremio). Shelvey needs to be loaned out, preferably to a Premier League team so he can learn about various game situations and how to respond to them.

I totally agree with you, but I meant having those players in our first team will never take us to the promised land.

The title has to become our obsession, it simply has to, otherwise we will never win it IMO.
