Thanjk you.

Was motivated to come and comment on Henderson after the total kicking he took on 606.
Henderson is a boy. He's 21 ffs. Anyone writing him off as 'not good enough' has no understanding of the reality of football - the guy is physically gifted and has a good range of passing. Gerrard will likely decline relatively quick (imo) as he relies so much on his own physical gifts, and will likely play much deeper in the coming years - Henderson is the guy who can get around the park, stretch defences with runs ahead of the ball, and get close to the strikers.
He hasn't set the world on fire this season, but the hyperbole fired at him just looks like people overdosing on the Hate-orade - regardless of where he played at Sunderland, imo he is wasted wide right.
For me, assuming you play 1 up, Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson should be your 3 mids. Adam has too many weaknesses that opposing teams take advantage of to be a guaranteed first choice - a good squad player but very one paced after 55/60 mins. He covers the ground, but he's not going to run away from many opponents in he league.
In summary, it would be lunacy to sell Henderson at this point in time. The guy deserves time, and deserves the chance to grow into being at a top club.
At the moment except the constant running and short term passing his game doesn't offer much.
In fairness Dalglish played him again on the right yesterday and he is not fit to play there in our set up but even when he moved to CM position his contribution was marginal.
There is no doubt in my mind that he'll improve but I am not sure if he will ever be good enough for LFC.
I followed him when he was with Sunderland and imo he actually regressed since he moved to us but that can be attributed to different level of pressure and expectations that come with playing for a big club.
He may have future with us but at this point he offers very little at best.
All young players regress initially before picking it up. Look at Lucas,Nani etc. Henderson has all the goods to make it at the top level. He just needs more time.
I remember Lucas being much more awful in his first couple of seasons here. Henderson hasn't been that bad. He gets into good attacking positions to support the forwards.
He's not got the brains or attitude to succeed here. He's the invisible man, swathes of the game go by and he's not involved. Many of you saying he played better after Spearing went off, I think that had more to do with the Carroll factor as opposed to keepy uppy king getting better.
He's had a go in the middle and he's as **** a he is out wide. The best part is Shelvey is a much better/intelligent player, we didn't need to buy Henderson at all. Had Shelvey played he certainly would have supported Suarez with Gerard intent on playing so deep, however gutless chicken didn't do anything.
He may or may not have been the right signing for us. But we have him and so let's discuss the reality.
Id keep him as he's showed enough to suggest he'll come good. I'd sell others before him, namely Spearing & Adam.
As Kenny said with Carroll, he wasn't signed for this season he was signed for the next 5 years, moving him on in the summer wouldn't make sense, I think he is improving, he has been slowly getting better in a similar way to Lucas afew years ago - whether he will go on to be as good as Lucas I don't know, the difference between the two is that as Lucas was developing he had Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano to cover for his mistakes whereas this season Henderson has had the likes of Spearing and Adam to cover for him.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I still think he falls in the 'bad buy' category. For a club already challenging and with money to burn he would makes sense. Buy a player with a lot of potential, keep him around the periphery of the first team squad and develop him. For us, at 16m, it wasn't what we needed at all. We've been far too dependent on him and he's had to play far too many games. And when we should have dropped him to the bench we haven't.
Now it is not a good idea to sell him, rather we need to buy the players we should have been going for last simmer, first teamers with experience and quality, and Jordan should take his proper place as a squaddie and occasional starter for the time being.

Im not sure where all the hate for him has come from. Is it just the fee? Because he's been ok this season. Not spectacular but (with a few exceptions), not terrible either. There are far, far more players this season who have been a lot worse than him. And he's shown enough for me - like Lucas before him - to show that he's a good player. He's neat, tidy passer, good stamina, always plays with his head up, and is always on the move after giving the ball. He needs to become more assertive and demand the ball more, and he's never going to be another rampaging Gerrard going forward, but he can be an important cog in a successful team. If he has players around him who are good enough.
Nothing against him, he's a promising player, but we didn't need promising CMs to play as RMs last summer and we certainly didn't need to spend 16m on such a player. Decent player, but not we needed. i expect he will come good for us, but it has damaged us this season.

That's the problem - he was brought in to be introduced into the 1st team slowly, not thrown in the deep end from the start. And now the problem is his confidence is a little shot. I have no problem us spending 16 million on Henderson as he's 22 & is getting better & better playing in a ****e team. What I do have a problem with is spunking 20 million pounds on a donkey that should never be allowed this football club again! And the worst part is he played the full 90 mins against Chelsea on saturday!
