For his price tag, you can argue he has.

Why use the price tag argument? He didnt ask for us to pay £16m for him. So its not fair to use that as a stick to beat him.

He hasnt been brilliant, but he has hardly been poor. It was an alright season from him. Nothing else.

No, I understand you point exactly, you could quite easily call him a flop.

Because, no matter what you say, price tag and performance are linked. When you spend a lot of money on a player you expect performance. That is like arguing that teams who spend the most shouldn't be expected to achieve more.

On the whole he has been crap quite frankly..

Simple fact, when you spend a large amount of money on a player and he is at best average, you can claim he has flopped over that period with justification.

No they arnt at all. Expectation of performance and Price-tag are linked. By your logic, Free transfers are the worse type of players, and the more you spend the better they get.

The money paid for him was because the club saw the potential. Not because he is a £16m player. Same with Andy Carroll. I just dont see how bringing the price tag into a discussion on ability helps things. Fair enough if you think he is ****, but to say he is **** and then mention how much we paid is wrong.

When talking about the manager/owners, price's paid for players is relevant, as its there job to financially manage the club.

Because when you pay a lot for a player and he doesn't perform, it creates an argument for the player being a flop.

Whether you like it or not, it is a relevant factor. It isn't the players fault but it is still a factor.

This season he could very easily be called a flop. Whatever way you want to spin it we paid big money for a young lad that has been pretty average. Whether or not he will come good for LFC, we will see in the future but that headline although a bit much IMO, could be considered true based on his performances in a LFC shirt.

You should all listen to Gerrards interview done today and listen very very carefully to what he said regarding Henderson!

Gerrard said: 'Jordan is buzzing. Obviously he didn't want it (the call-up) to happen in this situation.

'No-one wants to see a player injured and then you come in.
'But you have to take your opportunity and Jordan is a very exciting player, one for the future, and it is a great opportunity for him.
'What people have got to understand is that he is still very young in football terms.

'He is 21, he will gain experience, he will gain confidence, he will gain belief and he will improve and get stronger.
'I was 21 and was nowhere near the finished article. I can guarantee you that, if the public are criticising Jordan, they will change their opinion of him very soon.
'He will prove them wrong. He is good enough to do it and will thrive on what is coming up.'

Oh please... You just can't resist an argument.

He said the same about Lucas telling the supporters he saw him in training everyday and how he will prove to be a top player. I bet you were one of the first on here to chastise Lucas in his early years.
You're being a hard arse, its not like he's Downings age.

Be realistic Henderson isn't really going to feature in the tournament.
Besides Eng are so **** that everyone outside of the UK knows they're all talk and no punch.

imagine Gerrard coming out and saying he thought Hendo was ****e.
