Going forward in this thread. He’s quite right though and I say that as someone with a positive view of Hendo. I don’t begrudge him this move and am grateful for his 12 years of service but I also value the opportunity to hear the other point of view (no matter how much I disagree with it).

To be fair a forum like this is not a democracy either. Very few forums allow free for alls with regards to what can be said, and this forum is one of the most lenient footy fan fourms imo.

Think what Alex said is fair enough. He basically does not want the thread devolving into slanging matches and am he made it clear that discussions on where Henderson is going and so on are allowed. Would imagine the same applies with regards to what people thought of him as a player.

He is not asking for sunshine and rainbows, but rather that folk quantify their opinions in a polite manner without turning it into slanging matches with each other or just lobbing abuse about the player.

At least that is how I took his mod post.
