That, as I have already said, is what I am most ****ed off about.
    Why's it a betrayal?

What if this is all part of his plan to go over there and be really LGBTQ with everyone and make them all realise LGBTQers aren't that bad at all? Its a 4D chess LGBTQing move

Or he tries that on, gets beheaded, and becomes a martyr for all of they/them

Seriously who cares…. I’m glad he is going, the team needed a major overhaul and we are getting it. There is nothing special about Henderson that can’t be replaced plus added energy and youth. Really exciting times, just really hope the deal is completed now. Think Klopp will be secretly delighted also!

Taking these factors into account, often keeping your current motor for longer will be the lower emission option.
You're assuming that recharging isn't achieved through solar means. Being rich enough means that's more likely the case.

Mining happens regardless of EVs, it's part of our modern tech world. Hopefully we'll find a way to eliminate the most harmful ones.

But yeah, I agree with the replacement cost part. EVs solve a car manufacturing problem, not strictly an environmental one.

Why can't a coach pick up all the players from their houses? Why do they need to drive in Ferraris and Bentleys?

None of really cares about the player leaving per se.

We buy into the culture of the club and players are also a reflection of that. So having a player display such hypocrisy is a bit of a let down.

I'd like to think the club would politely decline to do business with clubs from that country but clearly money is money to them.

            I guess we'll find out.

Now I have an image of some mad executioner stamping his feet then thrusting a severed head aloft to a background of fireworks and music..

I agree, but all foot players, including Henderson are interested in these days is money. Sadly, morals departed the game a long time ago (no matter what they display at the surface). I’m sure he is not bothered so I certainly won’t let if affect me.

Echo dom9's sentiments, really disappointed in Hendo, but I've been disappointed with his performances for so long that I've gotten used to the feeling.

Will not watch or follow anything from that vile league, so he's effectively retired with disgrace for me.

Agreed, that why I love the lower levels of the leagues, a lot more fight and grit

I guess because part of the joy of being alive is the freedom to chose your own means of transportation (subject to budgetary constraints….), and the freedom to choose your employment (even if that means the right to go and work in a country whose values some people on the internet disagree with).

I wouldn’t necessarily draw equivalence between the right to choose different types of cars and freedom from slavery, but agree that it’s generally not good to be pious about the relatively mundane decisions of others. Hypocrisy is always going to be called out though.

Most people would agree that there’s a great deal of animal cruelty in the production of meat but, nevertheless, continue to eat meat. Anyway, I think Henderson has been a brilliant servant and captain of our club. He also hasn’t been afraid to voice opinions on player welfare, racism, gay/lesbian issues and concerns with the last World Cup. He’s made a difference. Hopefully he’ll continue to make a difference. Good luck to him. Now’s the right time for him to leave. We get good money (more than we got for Bobby and Wijnaldum) which can be reinvested in new players.
He was concerned with the last World Cup but still went and played. Lots of fans said that they'd boycott it and then watched. It's his decision to live with and I'm sure he'll be fine as he collects the keys to his Bugatti and boards his private jet to the Caribbean

Electric cars, oppressive regime, gay rights, stick it in a thread

Anyway, he needed to go because he was really struggling.
I wonder if him and klopp have discussed Jordans demise and realised he really is finished at LFC and this way of getting out was the best for all parties.
Finally klopp has removed his blinkers, maybe the dof has been telling him some hard truths that all of klopp other yes men didn't have the balls to mention.

Yeh, too much too soon, but again that's down to klopp and the club not using the revolving door as often as it should have been used.

I get that some people are massively disappointed by Hendo going to Saudi for bucket loads of cash. It's more for the human rights issues than the sheer greed that pains. It's not a good look after being so vocal against it for so long to them about face and jump in with both feet for £700k a week.

However, all of football is massively corrupt. The Saudis are just the latest flavour and everyone's getting hot under the collar about them. They've just brought the corruption out into the open, front and centre, waving exorbitant amounts of cash around like a flag in people's faces.

Until FA, UEFA, FIFA grow some balls and do some self-awareness themselves... the corruption will simply escalate. All football bodies have been massively corrupt for decades (some far less openly than others) and now it's extreme wealth of club owners and the lack of due diligence for ownership (turning a blind eye thanks to huge envelopes packed with cash).

Hendo should have left a club legend, but he's invariably tarnished that mantle for many. His actions now look shallow and self-serving, despite his years of dedication to the LFC club and values. It's a massive shame. But then, Gerrard and Fowler are just as culpable on the moral argument. We have some money to reinvest, but it definitely leaves a sour taste in the mouth dealing with Saudi clubs.

Klopp and the transfer committee just have to deal with this situation as best they can - we may secure our top targets, we may have to settle for placeholders for a season or two to get numbers up. They'll do what they can with the time/bargaining power they have at their disposal. I doubt FSG offering ridiculous amounts of money would affect things too much as we still won't overpay for hyper-inflated, mediocre players. I'm all for paying what we need to for exactly the right player profile Klopp wants though.

Anyway, rant over - **** the Saudis and all their suppressive policies. Let's just focus on the positives of Macca, Szobo, Trent's form, Diaz and Jota being back.. we have a solid squad and potential for further new recruits to improve it again. It is what it is. We all know that, ultimately.
