very true, and the same might be true of henderson. many people doubted that lucas would ever be a worthy starter for us, me included. i have strong reservations about henderson too.
yes he may come good, but in the mean time he gets game time and might turn good. with the money we paid for him i believe he should have been a ready to go first team starter straight out of the box.
Matt seems to doubt his [current] ability and i do have to agree. maybe hendo is getting more game time due to a lack of strength in our squad. he isnt getting a start based on current ability, surely...

Right now? Possibly only Shelvey (for a different type of player) and the obvious choices of Lucas and Gerrard. Which is an issue. We are lacking in CM.

Lucas is out right now and Shelvey is a better attacking player than Henderson but not a better defensive one. So depends what the manager wants.

The idea that it's somehow radical and absurd for Henderson to be starting games for us right now is bizarre. It's not like we've got Xavi and Alonso having to make way for him.
