He's growing into the squad and is a very important member of it. I don't see what else he has to do to convince everyone that he merits his place, other than the unrealistic - like scoring 20 goals a season.
If it was a sublime ball it wouldn't have hit the defender. And that vision is the least I'd expect from a Liverpool midfielder.

I realise I'm now being pedantic but I'm yet to see anything that tells me that we don't need better.

We were playing one of the worst teams in the league and he looked good.

Against better teams when we are under pressure does he have the quality to really make a difference?

      Personally I don't think so.

      Hope he proves me wrong.

I find him a frustrating player. Get him anywhere near goal and he chokes. People always probably think this but Technically I'd back my favoured foot over his.

Don't see any real talent, just see someone athletically strong, who looks okay in a side playing well.

        He's a 6/10 player, to Stevie's 8.5/10

He's a valuable squad member. I don't think he's ever going to be the Steven Gerrard replacement and he's never going to be the midfield goalscoring superstar like Mkhitaryan might have been.

Any team needs its trusted squad members though, and the fact that he's quietly effective is massively encouraging. Its all about expectation. I think he's a foundation stone (along with Lucas) to be built upon to make a strong squad. What would you do? Sell him because he's not Gerrard?

Liverpool need more than just a first 11.

Anybody who doubts Henderson's technical ability obviously isn't aware of his performance in the tennis ball challenge.

Proves he is second only to Connor Coady in technical ability at the kloob.

              He's Brendan's Kuyt

I love his attitude and I think he is still improving.

Still only 23 years old, lots of improvement still to come imo.

Defo one to hold on to for me.

Like scoring against Chelsea and Arsenal you mean?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think sometimes people make decisions on players and due to their early perspective on them look for the faults rather than the positives in their play; this also happens the other way as well when positives are looked for an the negatives are overlooked.

With Henderson I think you've got to look at the fact after 11 games we're 2nd in the league and he's a first choice pick for the manager, seemingly the most important man seems to think he's doing something right and that's good enough for me.

I like him, I think anyone who puts as much effort in as he does will have the fans on his side and when you add the improvement he's shown since signing you've got to love him.

                        Crack on with the misrepresentation..
Where's the debate from you though? You clearly don't rate him and are even using an excellent assist yesterday as a stick to beat him with? Do you realise how mental that makes you look?

I don't rate him no and am surprised how many do. I hope I'm wrong and he starts putting away chances he's been missing.

Do you think he is anything more than 6/10 player?

I'm not mental thanks. I just disagree with you and others.

I was wrong. It was not a poor pass. But neither was it a sublime one. The vision was the least a pro midfielder should have, the execution was flattered by the deflection which gave Suarez a great angle. My point was that it was used an example of sublime quality which I questioned.

I'm done 'debating' so will agree to disagree.

                            No offence intended.

I don't think you've seen him play much this season then. You're clearly in the minority and most importantly our manager obviously rates him

IMO he's a decent player now. If he starts getting goals as we'll be looking at a really good one. He seems to lack confidence at times, but his capacity is helps him out. If BR can help him taking more chances in attack he'll be very difficult to play against.
