Please say that's a fan's mock-up and not something official from the club?

        'Observe', 'Neighbourly'.

Is he head of his local Neighbourhood Watch?
That rug really tied the room together.

He'd be no good at that job he's always out exploring.

Think Henderson is going to be incredible next year. Added goals and assists to his workrate last year and looks so confident in pre-season, he's gong to be the complete midfield player next year.

I think the armband might even have a more positive effect on his game than it did Gerrard (not that he'll ever reach Gerrard's level).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah I think the same he's going to come of age and be a really attacking force too.

When dominant 'star' goes, it is not uncommon for the next stars to come out from under their shells. I thought Henderson was a different player last year when Gerrard was out of the team.

He certainly looked a lot better playing alongside Lucas when he had the freedom to bomb forward.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                        it should be [El Capitano]
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Does anyone still doubt the captain? Strutted around like an absolute boss for most of that game. He's gonna have a great season.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I actually thought he had a poor game yesterday, well first 75 mins or so. Not his fault though as he isn't a DM. As soon as Can came on a sat deep, Henderson looked like a different player. He was able to burst forward, get involved and make those late runs into the box. Henderson, Milner & Can are very talented players, IMO it's taking away from their natural game to play them in a deep DM role.

Henderson is a naturally progressive players, it's really a shame to shackle him like that. As regards the captaincy, i'm hoping that he will prove to be a great leader on the pitch.

Who in our team actually played that well though???

I thought most were very ordinary (as were Stoke)

I laughed my balls off when they gave the MOM to Coutinho because it pretty much summed up the whole game. Dour and dire but lit up by 1 moment of magic

Which is fairly typical of a first game of the season. From the top sides supposedly challenging for the title Arsenal were soundly beaten, the Mancs won with an OG and Chelsea scrapped a draw against Swansea. Early season games are frequently similar to this as players bed in to the side. How it shakes out over the first 5 or 6 games will give a clearer view on things.
