It's not being pedantic, there's an important point. There's a massive difference between "everything" and "a lot". You can't suggest Rodgers feels "a need to go public with everything" when you don't know if he does. He says more than we're used to - "a lot" if you like. If you think he's saying too much then say so. But it's just a matter of opinion. By exaggerating you were seeking to make your opinion more persuasive and more objective.
Don't blame me if you don't write what you mean..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

cannot understand why you feel the need to be soooo picky. there must be hundreds of members, and who knows how many others viewing who must thing this site is very bitchy and would not be arsed posting on here... cliquey?

I'm not being cliquey or picky or pedantic. I don't mind people being imprecise in the way they post but then they shouldn't have a go when someone points out there's a difference between what they said and what might have intended to say. The fact that what you said just happens to make your point of view appear more solid is no doubt just a happy accident for you.
What I object to is when someone points out the inaccuracy of what was said the person who said it comes back and accuses them of being picky or cliquey or pedantic or anything else. You could have said "yes, that's what I meant really" or even "sorry, I could have been clearer" but no, you had to turn it into a personal attack on me. And then you call for me to be banned.
Maybe you could be more gracious and stop insulting people. But if you insist on doing it then at least try to make sure you say what you mean to start with..

can i just say that i respect and admire the way you have phrased the post so as not to inflame the sensitivities of some/all/none of the forum members

Stop being a dick. I'm not angry or inflamed (and I don't need to breathe deeply thanks SB). DeanoUK's point is perfectly reasonable whether or not I agree with it. It's not what you said. But then maybe he thinks about what he wants to say.
So stop playing the victim and grow up..

I actually typed that before seeing Neil's response, and then edited to include the latter part once I saw it!
It's ok to have differing opinions, and I quite like seeing the alternative view on here. I'm constantly readjusting my thoughts when I see these opposing views - one of the main reasons I lurk here on a constant basis.
Neil concurs with this at least, which is all I ever expect.
Baitman, as I keep saying, I was once called the "anti-Craig"...

BUMP..
I see he has said he's not a flop in the news section. I think he's a good player. The £16m mentioned isn't accurate, but anytime I have seen him play I thought he looked tidy enough. It's not helped that he's always out of position, but I do wonder why BR feels he shouldn't be in the team more often - particularly since our squad is whafer thin as is.Substance > Style

I like him as a player but he's redundant in the squad with us having Sahin, Shelvey and Gerrard all seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order. I think his lack of first team exposure is hurting his development and we need to get rid at this stage. I think he has been unlucky and deserved better but if Rodgers doesn't rate him he needs to go."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
