He's improving with each and every game.

The goal should help him settle little quicker and get some confidence back.

      Henderson: I can do better

The 21-year-old guided home his first Liverpool goal in our 3-1 win over Bolton on Saturday and scooped the Liverpoolfc.tv journalists' man of the match.

Afterwards he told us: "Scoring for Liverpool, especially your first goal, means a lot - you could see that from my celebration. But the main thing was the team performance. I thought we were brilliant throughout the game.

"I've worked hard and got my head down but I think I can do a lot better, I think there's still a lot more to come. I just need to focus on what I need to do, keep working hard in training and hopefully that will come through on the pitch like it did today."

Henderson admits the quality of Liverpool's play this early in the season has surpassed expectations, with Kenny Dalglish's new signings apparently requiring no time to settle.

He said: "A lot of players have bedded in well, like Charlie, and Jose and Stewie on the left-hand side have been brilliant.

"We're playing some good stuff at the minute, we've been working hard on the training pitch and it came off today. We just need to carry on doing that, carry on working hard and hopefully we can keep performing like that."

Henderson will now depart for England U21 duty, and will hope to catch senior boss Fabio Capello's eye during games against Azerbaijan and Israel.

"I'm over the moon to be in the U21 squad," said the midfielder, who has one full cap on his CV. "There are some great players there.

"Obviously I want to push on and get in the senior squad. I just need to keep working hard and keep doing my job for Liverpool, and hopefully the senior call will come."

The quality of his crossing was excellent yesterday.

I was immediately thinking 'Nani'. We have our Nani, a player that can whip balls in with menace, not just hope. When Kuyt sharpens up he'll be at the end of them. Doesn't have Nani's pace or flair, but certainly has the same skillset.

The only comparison is they can both cross a ball, apart from that they're nothing alike.

Henderson will improve in time and will be even better in a few years much in the same way Michael Jackson has improved for Utd. Nani has devopled into a real talent though to be fair, his skills are top drawer and his overall game is very good.

              Technically he is fantastic.

Yes, obviously Hendo doesn't have Nani's electric pace or flair. But Nani's crossing p*sses me off because its probably the most dangerous in the league. The good news is I saw Hendo with that same lethal ability. Always good for resulting in 10-15 goals a season.

He reminds me more of Beckham in his general play.....

He has a great first touch and he played well yesterday.
I'd like him to stay wide a little more, and chose more carefully when he comes inside.
But overall I think he should be proud of his performance.

It will be interesting to see how well/quickly he links up with GJ when he's back in the side.
I reckon they could be a effective pairing down the right hand side.

he still has a hell of alot to improve on, but he has played better with each game. Still not sure of what exactly he is but sure i fhe can knock out goal like that against Bolton who cares

Poulsen, Cole and Degen have a "hell of a lot to improve on" Hendo can improve his game but your comment was a bit OTT IMO

Before Saturday's game I thought he was the worst player in the world. By Sunday morning I had decided he was the best player in the world.
