Yup, good luck Jordan. Leaves as a *bonafide legend

*As the most successful captain in the last 30 years. Low bar notwithstanding

Harry Kane is going to put in for about 100 pre orders then.

2014 could well have turned out differently if Henderson had been available for those final games...

I remember the match that I did. When we got through the second leg v Roma there was some footage of him celebrating alone in the centre of the pitch at full time. The raw desire, the passion, it was all there and I think the drive that he showed was fundamental to the standards we set. Him and Milner. Not glamorous but fundamental,

The other time was at the game v Athletico Madrid (one I was lucky enough to be at). He was at the centre of everything dictating v play and setting standards. He was very impressive, and a much better player tha. He gets credit for.

Twilight years now for sure, but I’d have had him as an options from the bench.

In my book there is no need for a video welcoming them and I have lost interest by the time they post their farewell video.

It did make me think about the bigger impact this Saudi league could have on European football, particularly us. Ignoring the immediate consequence of possibly losing our best player to PSG, if Saudi investment completely hyper-inflates the market, how long before FSG say "**** it, let's move on"? Even if we do get decent owners in, we still have to remain sustainable, but how difficult will this be with excessive transfer fees and many clubs not needing to sell, as they can offload their average players to these teams for record prices. Probably a bit hypocritical as the PL has been destroying other leagues for years and now the show could be on the other foot, but still...

Anyway, in short, f*ck you Hendo for ruining the club and destroying football.
Absolutely, they're turning heads with offers nobody can match which has potentially disastrous consequences.

It's a bit crazy tbh as they have seemingly limitless wealth but no FFP to adhere to (yet), plus a huge tax advantage which raises that question again..

Agree, an arrival leaning photo is more than enough

This is why many are aghast at the likes of Henderson, Ronaldo, Benzema, Bobby and the others taking the Saudi money.
Start one, as the overall impact will spill into most threads at some stage.

Don't think many here would have made a different decision to the one he has tbh.

My negative feelings are towards Saudi for whatever the feck they are trying to do right now.. Once again shafting the game..

Hendo was a great captain for us, had the perfect mentality on and off the pitch to lead the team and he should be remembered for that.
