    Well.

I must say, when he signed for us I was quite baffled. However that's probably because I'd only seen him a couple of times.

I like him though and I think he'll go on to be a very good footballer. He's got a nice touch, likes a quick pass, has a good engine and an intelligent football brain. I think he needs to start grabbing games by the scruff of the neck and imposing himself more, however he's very young and I'm sure this will come with age, games and confidence.

I think he's a decent player he's much better in central midfield than he was on the right wing. I'm still not sure we know what his best role will be in the team yet (long term) but he's doing a decent enough job, and if he continues to improve I think he could be a very good player for us.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In reality, he is a symbol of the FSG / Comolli / new transfer philosophy - in that we purchase players based on potential and nurture that so they become superstars....

I think this is the right way forward for our club - because in reality, we are never going to be able to compete with Man City, Madrid etc for signings like Ronaldo, Silva etc.....

I just don't think that LFC were in a proper position to spend 15-20m on a player like that.....not yet anyway. I think we needed players that could fit straight into the first team.......i'd consider Henderson as a player that needs to be a squad player for a year or two and ease himself in to life at LFC before he can become a first team guaranteed starter....

I like the fact that we are signing the likes of Sterling, Ibe and all them young lads.... in reality, if we unearth 2 or 3 superstars and half a dozen squad players, not to mention sell on players for a million or two here and there, then it is proof that the method works....

However, last summer, we didn't have the existing first team squad to justify spunking 16m on Henderson..... we'd should have tried to spend a third of that on Scott Parker instead.

It's the same with Seb Coates......we'd have been better off getting Gary Cahill for the same money.....

Not about being a fan. It's about watching and understanding the game.

I really like him. Seems to have all the basic elements to be an excellent player. In some ways he reminds me of Lucas in that his strengths are in the unfussy things. He plays some really incisive balls at times though. I think more game time in the middle will see him continue to progress.

Disagree with the Cahill part. Regardless of whether he is currently better than Coates or not, how much would he have played? On the whole Skrtel and Agger have both been brilliant this season, and I don't think he's better than either of them. So he'd have got hardly any playing time. So what would have been the point.

And on Henderson I agree with these.

I think he meant on basis of previous performances before this season, when in all fairness Skrtel wasn't exactly playing his best. But obviously now the Skrtel/Agger partnership has been superb.

Skrtel has improved hugely & Agger hasn't been injured, both of which have been very pleasant surprises

Perhaps I misread the context. However, last summer we wouldn't have been able to get Cahill for the same price we got Coates for.
