I don't want to write him off this early into his career, but I think we had higher priorities in other areas of the pitch during the transfer window, namely central defence - should have used the Henderson money (however much it was) in that area.

Key thing for me yesterday was we were second best to everything, particularly the second balls
True, I just didn't think Adam was at the races though yesterday (sadly he wasn't the only one), had he put in any kind of performance it would have made the game alot tougher for Spurs in the centre of midfield.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nice to see that people are agreeing with what I said before we bought him.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHe's not even a poor man's Alonso. Nothing alike IMO other than he likes to try 50 yard diagonals. Only Xabi lands them on a sixpence and Adam's success rate is questionable at best.
I do think Adam will be handy at Anfield against weaker teams, a kind of flat track bully. In the helter skelter of bigger games, when he's pressurised on the ball, it looks like he's going to be nowhere near good enough.
Well done that man

I have to agree. Unless there's a bigger picture I'm missing here.
His contibution yesterday was Diao'esque. Maybe he's not comfortable on the right. Maybe he's coming to terms with settling in in a new city etc, or just doesn't want to **** up. Either way, he's got some growing up to do, and whilst he's in the team playing as he is, our right side looks weak.
Too many pass backs without looking or exploring space. And bugger all protection down the right.

Agree with whoever said he'll be better when Johnson comes back. A more natural pairing, with Henderson's infield drifting opening up the space for Johnson to do his thing.
Should never be a regular at this stage though, especially with two proven, seasoned internationals like Kuyt and Maxi waiting in the wings.
Dirk is a derby expert and surely, has to play next week. Has to.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
