Couple of things I noticed re Henderson's leadership v City. He absolutely tore a strip off Virgil at one point for a loose pass. VVD took it and was like "yep, got it boss". All this talk of VVD being the natural leader so I liked Henderson doing that.

The other thing was after Mane's goal, everyone's going mad and Henderson seems to be bollocking Firmino about something. He's a much better captain than many give him credit for. That'll be why more or less every manager he plays for makes him the captain.

I think we have been used to the Gerrard style of captaincy, the Roy of the Rovers type score a couple of wonder goals leadership.

In my opinion Gerrard had Carragher doing all of his actual leading in terms of vocalising and organising, and Stevie wasnt all that good a captain in how he verbally lead and organised his team on the pitch.

Henderson is vastly underrated by our supporters. Hopefully he and VVD can strike up the kind of partnership that Stevie and JC had.

Noticed the second one alright. I wouldn't be surprised if VVD isn't a VC next season but then Milner hasn't done anything to deserve to be stripped of it.

Ahh ok, I was probably too busy chuckling at the look on Sterling's face when he bounced off Hendo to take in the yellow card. In hindsight it was a stupid challenge & given the consequences not the subject of mirth. Unfortunately, every time I think of it I start to smile & snigger to myself.

I thought at the time that Sterling take a nibble back at him. Was I imagining that?

I don't think either of them liked the pass they were given - both given bouncing balls to deal with. Either way it's good to see.

Think VVD should have tried to pass it left to Robertson and that's probably what Henderson was expecting

After watching it again it's a sloppy one from Van Dijk rather than a horrible one. He could easily have prodded the ball towards Robertson who had loads of space. Henderson could probably have dealt with it better but he was being closed down.

Lack of composure like that costs you goals sometimes and we're guilty of it quite a lot during games.

He was the one who rallied us when we were under pressure in the first 20 minutes.

I think he has been fantastic in Europe. A real leader.

Would be nuts to watch him lift the CL trophy.
