I don't mind if he has a rest at the WC - but he is superior to Dier. Some of his passing last night was excellent. But there seems to be a pro-Spurs feeling amoingst the pundits. Most of these England players can only dream of playing in a CL final - Jordan has done it. Playing in a WC is small beans by comparison.

He'll remain club captain. I wouldn't be surprised to see an additional vice added alongside Milner.

I think there's a possibility of a club captain (Henderson) and team captain (van Dijk). It's clear Henderson is going to play fewer games, but he'll still get 25-30 odd a season imo.

As Shaggy said Henderson should be captain when he plays, VVD when Hendo is not playing.

I don’t think stripping Henderson of the captaincy sends out the right message, nor does it seem to be the sort of thing Klopp would do.

By all accounts Henderson is a great captain of the pitch and the squad unity is in no small part down to he and the likes of Milner.

Eventually the captaincy may change - but not now.
