I think Henderson will stay as captain with Milner and VVD as vice-captains. Obviously as the squad gets bigger there is more chance that individual players won't play every week, but I imagine we will stick to those three guys most games.

The role of captain is split into on the field and off the field roles, putting aside the off the field stuff for now. The choice of captain as well as being a leader is also largely about 'referee management' - players need to understand the league and know / be known to the referee. Personally I don't think that it is wise to have a captain who doesn't meet these criteria, players who are new to the league don't have that so are rarely made captains but someone who has moved from another English club might (e.g. John Terry as was mentioned above).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Why would new players coming in change the captain? Normally- new players don't get given the armband- I mean it would be ****ing weird if some lad just turned up, no one knew him, and Klopp's like yeah **** off Jordan who I've been working with for 3 year...

Do you think about this ****e before you post it?
      Sometimes wonder if you do.

I think people suggesting a change of Captain is because Hendo may not be first choice, not good having the Captain sat on the bench.

Nobody has suggested giving it to one of the new guys, most suggested VVD or Salah.

Perhaps, having thought about ****e before posting it, they felt new players might leave Hendo with less playing time resulting in another player gaining the captaincy. Not necessarily a new arrival. If you're going to go swinging your e-penis around, at least talk soke ****ing sense.

He’d have never heard the end of it from opposition fans if his penalty kick had have meant England getting kicked out last night.

Seen some of my Facebook posts already straight after his penalty.

It's like they couldn't wait to get stuck into someone at the first sight of potential failure.

All of my non-LFC supporting friend just don't get it with him, the amount of stick he gets is crazy none of them rate him.

Also didn't he take pens for us for a while when Gerrard wasn't playing regularly or after Gerrard left and before Milner was taking them for us? I read in a few places some statements saying he had only taken one or two in his senior career which I don't think is right

You don't need to limit that to non-LFC supporters either. He gets dogs abuse from our own fans too.

For what it's worth, whilst he did telegraph where he was putting the penalty, it was still an outstanding save from Ospina.

No he didn't? The one he scored is the only non shoot out one he's taken.

Looked on LFC history and it seems he only took one and scored it,is could have sworn he took more than that but I must be wrong
