He has the ability to do that.
True. It's just that against some teams maybe he doesn't want to take those chances especially with all the build up to this game.

Personally, I felt he could have been a tad bolder but it's not like he completely disappointed

Klopp certainly worked his magic on our English players , Lallana and Milner as well
When did he turn around on the pitch tonight, I'm confused?

I only ever saw him passing the ball backwards.

Is passing the ball backwards such a bad thing when everyone ahead can't string two touches together, let alone pass it forward, but as it was in the first half of hour of this game? I think not.

I'd love to see any of you experts, especially the relentless Perkinator do any better. Moan, moan, moan.
              Oh I don't know.

Henderson had a good game, best midfielder on the park despite the mental MOM award to Herrera.

He didn't have a terrible game by any means, but it wasn't just the first half hour, he made some ridiculous runs towards his own box and several long range passes back to the keeper when there was no need to do so. He was incredibly negative, even when we were on top in the second half.

I thought we made too many backpasses but admittedly there was no space in their final third, Mourinho is good at this, you have to hand it to him. There were moments though when Henderson could have been a bit braver, like in the last minute and we were forced to pass it to Karius who hoofed it out of touch. Can was offering himself available then IIRC.
                      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Only Matip was better than him from our perspective.

He's a very good athlete with average technical ability that treats the ball like it's bomb about to go off. Joe Allen has got far better technique, and the bottle to turn with the ball into space instead of relying on the lightning-fast back/side ways pass and he wasn't good enough for us.

In what way? I think its been emphatically proven that Joe Allen was not better than Jordan Henderson at anything, otherwise he'd still be at Liverpool and not at Stoke.

Joe Allen and Wijnuldum as our midfield two gives me the willies. I'm happy with Henderson thanks. Anyone else notice he (Hendo) has bulked up a bit too?
