As Shaggy said Henderson should be captain when he plays, VVD when Hendo is not playing.

I don’t think stripping Henderson of the captaincy sends out the right message, nor does it seem to be the sort of thing Klopp would do.

By all accounts Henderson is a great captain of the pitch and the squad unity is in no small part down to he and the likes of Milner.

Eventually the captaincy may change - but not now.

There's no way Klopp takes it off Henderson, he knows the headlines it would cause for one and what it would do to the lad to be binned from the first choice 11 and loss the armband as well. Keeping him as club captain, keeps him involved when he's not.

Why would new players coming in change the captain? Normally- new players don't get given the armband- I mean it would be ****ing weird if some lad just turned up, no one knew him, and Klopp's like yeah **** off Jordan who I've been working with for 3 year...

Being captain and being best player are nothing to do with each other. To be honest I'm not sure what the point of having a captain is.

Not to mention, it's a dubious point also as it's not unheard of for a new player to be made captain (John Terry being a recent example off the top of my head).
