A lot of the injuries we have now are a by-product of having Gomes/VVD out. The Matip/Fabinho/Milner injuries are from rushing them back when they're not 100% ready and the Henderson, imo, is just an offshoot of playing him in an unrecognised position. He's struggled there recently and picking up an injury seemed inevitable when you're not playing your usual game.

BUT I understand why Klopp played him as CB and have no issues with that.

I said a while back I thought our form would turn around when he was back in midfield. I was assuming that would be after this game as we'd either have Fabinho back at CB or would be willing to play Phillips or Davies after our run of big PL games (all of which we have now lost )

The only saving grace is that I think our fortunes will still turnaround with Jota back.

Damn right.

We really will be going into next season with a lot of question marks over key performers like VVD, Henderson, and Gomez with regards to how close to their pre injury abilities they are at, not to mention the list of those who seem to constantly spoken off of being a big boost if they stay fit "next" season like Matip, Keita, Chamberlain, and Shaqiri.
