I (almost) hated him. You could see him ****ting himself and just giving up, and belting the ball against the defender's shins and hoping for the best, cos he was all out of ideas. Utterly useless. For me him, Carroll, Benteke and PFK were the most blatantly atrocious signings, from the very first link, LFC have made in modern times.

Comfortably my least favourite Liverpool player ever. I hated him before we signed him and somehow managed to hate him more afterwards. I've never seen a player so good at hiding whilst maintaining a high workrate. Just constantly running nowhere. Over 60 PL games and £20m just a few seasons after we refused to pay 12m for Dani Alves.



And the fact he's my least favourite player is saying something considering he had Konchesky behind him for a good 6 months of his spell.

No, think in Rodgers last full season it was Mario, Rickie Lambert, Borini and Sturridge when he wasn't injured.

Then when Chris came in, Mario went out on loan.

I didn't think he suited our style when we signed him but thought he was a decent player - he had a goal every other game at Villa. Not sure what has happened to him since other than he has an awful record for Palace so maybe I give him too much credit.

Just looked up his Palace record, his first season was good 17 goals in 40 games, since then he has just 5 goals in his last 72 games including just 1 this season and 1 last season

Couldn't agree more, his crosses where forever hitting defenders legs. Then prior to every match, so called 'experts' in the media used to harp on about Downings quality on the ball in wide areas and how he can 'supply the ammunition' for Carroll. There was a stage where they both must have turned out 15+ consecutive horrific performances and the pundits would still serve us those soundbites like we're ****ing blind idiots. Really made me wonder if they actually ever watched football.

Along with Carroll, I can't think of many players who were a more obvious terrible stylistic fit for us before we signed them and proved to be just as **** as many imagined they would be.

I need to dig it up, but Klopp's presser after that miss was classic. He was almost laughing and said something about how comical it was due to the game being frantic and the miss being plain awful. His goal against Man Utd is the only good thing he did and we lost horrendously that day so it really means nothing at all.

Whilst he is undoubtedly a cunt of note, I can't really say I hate him more than Downing and Woy's gang. Also, the spitting thing is blown out of proportion we play the man, not the ball. Plenty of reasons to hate him, but we've seen Carra's spitting (which was much, much worse) swept under the carpet whilst people are still banging on about Diouf.
