I doubt he could get 9 league goals in a whole season, but I don't think even he would dream of scoring 9 in the remaining games this season
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He basically slammed in a couple of hattricks and the odd goal. Just channeled Gerrard and ****ing went for it!

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson’s heart-to-heart with manager Jurgen Klopp has produced instant results as the midfielder feels more comfortable in his new advanced role.

It speaks volumes about the 28-year-old’s relationship with his experienced boss that he was able to make the suggestion he should be played further forward as a ‘number eight’.

Equally, the fact Henderson was prepared – and still is – to play the holding position for so long in order to accommodate other midfielders highlights his willingness to make personal sacrifices for the sake of the team.

But with summer signing Fabinho having found his feet and excelling as the deep-lying midfielder, Henderson saw his chance to expand his contribution.

As a result Liverpool have benefited as he scored his first goal in almost 18 months at Southampton on Friday and played a sublime role in the second goal against Porto.

After the Champions League quarter-final first-leg win, Klopp offered an apology of sorts, saying: “It was my fault that for one-and-a-half years he played as a number six. Sorry for that!”

But it would not have come about had it not been for the player’s gentle intervention.

“I don’t think the manager had thought about it too much until I mentioned it to him,” said the England international.

“Me and the gaffer just had a conversation. Obviously he had seen the England games and I felt good playing in that position.

“I suppose when I spoke to the manager, it was (to say) that I do feel more natural in that position: I played there for a long time, I was sort of a box-to-box midfielder when the manager first came.

“It was something that he said he would think about. I can do both positions and he sees that I can do both. It’s basically what he wants and he needs from the team.

“I want to keep contributing to the team. When I play the deeper position my role changes and I try to do different things and I can’t affect it as much in the final third.”

We've all known this for a long time that he is suited playing in a more forward role, now we have Fab in the deeper role... Hendo has been given the opportunity to show his stuff. What is great is that he has a point to prove, he looks determined and full of energy. Our high press is essential and he gives us that option aswell as the front 3. It's makes it a nightmare for defences to play out of the back.

One of the many things I love about Fabinho is he's able to influence the attack even from that deeper role. Henderson couldn't manage that, to be honest I can't think of many players that can!

It really is a measure of Hendo though, that he has curtailed his natural game for the good of the team for so long. Even including the bedding in period for Fabinho.

Fabinho plays the position better than Hendo, but that is discredit Hendersons part in both this and last season.

Noone deserves to lift a trophy this season more than him.

He missed the Chelsea game in 13/14 after the red against City didn’t he. Playing higher up the pitch on Sunday and the rest of the season could be massive, maybe another goal or two.

Think Sunday would big a bit personal for him and he would want to have a big say after 13/14. Exactly the type of midfielder we need at times, someone to drive the team forward with attitude and aggression and press the opposition high. Like what the Ox does.

Yeah, he is one of the few to survive from that game so payback should be huge. For all of us. We owe them.

A midfield of Fabinho/Henderson/Ox in the future could be immense.

I think it was a red card against Arsenal but yeah, we definitely missed him in those games he wasn’t available for.

Nope, against City...the only black mark on the victory over City that day & the wheels fell off LFC juggernaut after that!

So Jordan, a winning goal like that one at Stamford Bridge a couple of years back will do nicely for me this coming Sunday!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Glad to see him playing that role against Porto... playing infront of the back 4 at the same time as being given the armband ruined him for me. He is not a defensive midfielder but was forced to play like one. Klopp has to stick with that now... Fab infront of back 4 and hendo more advanced.
