He was racking up assists and some goals playing further forward. He's been asked to play a deeper role and imo he's just not cut out for it. At least he drives forward, we are missing that from likes of Ox. Fab was poor today but is the starter for that deeper role. Hendo is more than just a worker if he is allowed to get forward and do those lung bursting runs into the box like he used to be allowed to. He changed that game today imo.

Did I see Bobby in the background as Hendo scored doing his "who's the man!?" pose?

Based on the image at the top here, he went to roundhouse JH in the face

You could see what that goal meant to him today hey. And Mo mentioning in the post match interview ( when told it was Mo’s first in 9 matches) that it was Hendo’s first in about 30 games or something lol . Cheeky ********

Well played Hendo. He’s better suited to a more advanced role.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

a man possessed when he came on, you forget is strength is playing as number 8 just off the right with whipping a ball, carrying it forward, getting it in box.

He's had a patchy career due to managers more than his own ability. Takes loads of stick and he takes it very personally. He wants to liked.

Almost cried when he scored, that celebration was everything, it meant everything and if he was a scouser he'd heralded for it.

He really should always play forward, not this rubbish defensive Henderson we've had forced on us. It limits almost everything about him in that role.

I don't know if he still has it in him but if he was capable of playing the position he did in the season of our last title challenge that would be a nice option to have, he said yesterday that he wanted to play further forward.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He not a great passer and he can't control games but he it's not his fault he has been asked to play a deeper role that goes against his attributes as a player. Said this before so many times.

I would us this momentum, he's well up for it and has a point to prove. Let him play further forward and make those runs into the box that we've been missing so much from our side. It gives our forward lads more options when someone bursts out and breaks the lines.

He was outstanding last night. Pure aggression and determination is exactly what we need... A will to win.

                      I did

I was absolutely ****faced, and had barely recovered from Salah's goal. Tears in my eyes ffs. This whole thing is ridiculous.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm watching it back now and thinking these three were the perfect goalscorers - our most expensive midfielder who showed promise but hasn't lived up to expectation, a record goalscorer staring down the barrel of a 9th game without a goal and our much derided captain who has to make do with the odd start.

Get these three fully firing and we can smash the last five games and the Champions League.

I haven't even mentioned how brilliant VVD, Mane and Firmino were tonight.

                          What a ****ing team.

His celebration last night reminded me of the one at full time v Roma (first ten second of below clip).

I think he’s ****ing great. Last night showed why. Football is a game with a lot of moving parts and it is easy to theoretically put a good team together, PlayStation football, where every player has pre set skill sets and limits. Sport is talent of course, but also Heart, Passion, Desire all unquantifiable and factors which may be what is required to get us across the line. We saw plenty of that last night.

I hope we win the League.

And if we do no one will deserve to lift that trophy as Captain than Henderson - a guy who has to prove the doubters wrong every time he pulls the shirt on.
